Hollywood star Ryan Reynods has won his planning struggle to build a huge new Redbrick stand for his Wrexham football team after critics compared it to a 'prison'.
Reynolds and co-owner Rob Mcelhenney revealed their new standard in the form of a row of brick walls in February after throwing their earlier plans away.
The revised designs for the new head position of 5,500 capacity were presented to planners in their last battle to increase the size of the ground to a maximum of 55,000.
The design of their new stand would give the club the option to increase capacity at a later time, subject to a separate planning application.
Wrexham Council planners have now supported the plans, despite the fact that some fans shoot it as 'ugly' and like a row of terrace -shaped houses.
Club CEO Michael Williamson said: 'When Rob Mcelhenney and Ryan Reynolds became co-chairs four years ago, one of their core objectives was to recreate a four-sided stadium.
'An early assignment for a replacement head position was approved in 2022, but our amazing success on and next to the field in the past seasons required a review of our ambition for the ST*K CAE Ras.
'The Racecourse Ground will be the Center Point Stadium for the UEFA Euro U19S tournament that will be held in Noord -Wales in the summer of 2026.

“In anticipation of this summer, we will install a brand new newest generation of state-of-the-art hybrid pitch with which the stadium can organize other important international sporting events, including Rugby Union and Rugby League.”
Wrexham says that the proposed external brick facade design of the stand is a tribute to the 'Terracottapolis' Nickname of the city – based on their local history of making bricks.
It says that the brick color and textures are reminiscent of the historic Rabon Red Brick from the local surroundings and will look at a public square.
It is the newest daring boost for the once-reclubgia since four years ago by the American comedype was taken.
Descriptively the new designs, one critic on social media said: “It's a football stadium, not a prison.”

The facilities of player and civil servants would be included in the new head standard and a facility for safe status, hospitality and accessible seats.
The new head position will have a capacity of 5,500, whereby the design makes an increase in capacity in the future.
Williamson said: 'Because we can only deliver this project as soon as a complete renewal was needed. The final designs are rooted in the past and present of Wrexham.
'We want to create a unique and directly recognizable head position with its brick design and shape that represents the identity of the city, and we believe that sports and entertainmentarchitects have reached nearest.
'The new head position may include a larger capacity after the 5,500 that we are currently looking for – and the future -proof is clearly logical, although it increases our initial costs. Each extra capacity requires a new planning application.
'Although the designs have changed our dedication to community involvement and use, it is determined. The head position will accommodate many events locally in the variety of spaces that we make in De Standaard.

“A new square will be made at the entrance of De Standaard and we think that this creates an active environment on non-match days and for our home games.”
The seating bowl is designed to strengthen the atmosphere in the ST*K CAE race, optimized with the design of the roof to strengthen sound from the spectators to the pitch.
