The government of US President Donald Trump and Ukraine are planning to sign the much-discussed minerals Deal after his disastrous Oval Office meeting with Volodymyr Zensky.
Trump has told his advisers that he wants to announce the agreement in his speech to the congress on Tuesday evening, three sources told Reuters.
They warned that the deal still had to be signed and the situation could change.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The presidential administration of Ukraine in Kiev and the Ukrainian embassy in Washington did not respond immediately to requests for comments.
The deal was put on hold on Friday after a controversial Oval Office meeting between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zenskyy.
It resulted in the fast departure of the Ukrainian leader from the White House.
Zensky had traveled to Washington to sign the deal.

In that meeting, Trump and Vice President JD Vance Zelenskiy have held and told him that he should thank the US for the support instead of asking for extra help for the American media.
“You are gambling with the Second World War,” said Trump.
American officials have spoken with officials in Kiev in recent days about signing the mineral deal despite the inflation on Friday.
They insisted on Zensky's advisers to convince the Ukrainian president to openly apologize for Trump, according to one of the people who are familiar with the case.

On Tuesday, Zensky published on X that Ukraine was ready to sign the deal and called the Oval Office meeting 'regrettable'.
He wrote: “Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as quickly as possible to bring permanent peace closer.”
It was unclear whether the deal has changed.
The deal that would be signed last week did not include explicit security guarantees for Ukraine, but gave the US access to income from the natural resources of Ukraine.
