A prime minister has apologized for his foolish criticism of the American vice president.
West -Australian Prime Minister Roger Cook says that on Tuesday morning he just had fun when he reportedly called JD Vance a 'button' during a business breakfast speech.
“It was an airy, non-professional moment and I didn't mean an offense,” he told reporters afterwards.
'When I made the comments, there was a lot of applause in the room, so maybe some people enjoyed the pleasure that loved.
“Other people may be offended and my apologies.”
Asked by a reporter or his comment The Aukus deal would be able to derail, which is expected to create thousands of jobs in WA, Mr. Cook said: “I don't think the people in the Oval Office are listening to a sub-jurisdictional (Chief Executive) in Western Australia.”
Liberal leader Libby Mettam warned Mr. Cook and said that he had to concentrate on the WA people instead of international affairs.
“He has just been illustrated that he is from his depth, and his foolish remarks from a prime minister who is wrong,” she said.

Mrs Mettam said that the established Labor government must give priority to 'determining the broken health system, tackling rights and order issues, building more houses and repairing regional services'.
Experts tip a comfortable victory for work in the following Saturday. The party has 53 of 59 seats in the Lower House after an unprecedented victory of landslides in 2021.
But the liberals have refused to admit the defeat, where Mrs Mettam promises on Tuesday that he can beat the waiting times of the optional course if her party is chosen.
“We have a series of measures to do this, one of which is our guarantee for elective surgery,” she said.
“This means working with day hospitals, with private hospitals, to ensure that if a patient is on their clinical border, we will ensure that that operation takes place or takes place in an alternative, public or private facility.”
