Almost a million people in England have difficulty speaking English or not at all, new figures have shown.
Official statistics show that 10 percent of the inhabitants of the country born abroad – equivalent to 932,208 people – speaks little for no English.
A total of 794,332 people (8.6 percent) cannot speak English well, while 137,876 people (1.4 percent) cannot speak at all.
In the meantime, a little more than half of the migrants older than 16 years say it is their main language and 38.4 percent believe they can speak well.
The figures obtained by the Sun were collected from data in the 2021 census and last month announced by the UK Statistics Authority to the Tories.
