Two officials of the White House called the suspect as Mohammad Sharifullah, one of the leaders of ISIS-K.
An official also said that Sharifullah was behind the Moscow concert room attack last year in which 133 people were killed, as well as other terrorist operations.

The official added that the Pakistani authorities used Intel to find him.
“The FBI interviewed him in the weekend in which he confessed and he is extracted here while we speak,” he said.
FBI director Kash Patel said on X: “A step closer to the judge for these American heroes and their families.”
An American officer said that he was expected to arrive in the US on Wednesday and that an indictment would be unlocked, accused him of planning and supervising suicide bombing.

Trump ordered John Ratcliffe, his new head of the CIA, to give priority to the hunt for the brain responsible for the attack.
The fatal attack at Kabul airport was one of the darkest days of Biden Presidential.
The rapid collapse of Afghan security forces meant that tens of thousands of people flooded the facility to escape after the Taliban had overwhelmed the capital Kabul.
