The daughter of survivor of rape Gisele Pelicot has hit her mother because she does not want to 'believe or hear' her accusations that her father has raped her.

Caroline Darian said that her 72-year-old mother Gisele, who was drugged and mercilessly raped by her husband Dominique Pelicot and dozens of men for a period of nine years, her 'abandoned' despite the fact that she was standing by the Mazan process.

Dominique consistently denied the allegations of his daughter and when Gisele was asked about them in court, she refused to answer.

Darian, who was often seen on her mother's side during the process of her father last fall, said in her new book that she was deep in the silence of her mother.

She wrote so that we might remember that it was published on Wednesday: 'Her silence says a lot. I thought we were a united and close clan … and I am struck by this irreconcilable reality in the face: my mother doesn't want to believe me or hear me. The pain runs through me. '

She added: 'It is too much abandoned … It is as if the ground has opened under my feet … I tried to be there for my mother for four years, cherishing the band that has counted so much for me. I only feel about a wall of abandonment and nobody seems to understand. '

The months of trial – which in history has fallen as the most notorious sexual abuse case in France – was closed in December last year.

Dominique Pelicot, 72, known as Avignon's monster, has drugged, raped and organized the repeated rape and sexual abuse of his Nu-Ex-Vrouw Gisele by dozens of other men.

He and 50 other men were found guilty of raping and sexual abuse of the 72-year-old Gisele commissioned by her husband Dominique in the course of a decade.

The court found 47 of the defendants guilty of rape, two guilty of attempted rape and two guilty of sexual violence. The 51 men were confronted with a combined punishment of 600 years.

At least six of the convicted men, however, were free in December due to poor health or because they had already pronounced their punishment at detention before the trial.

Many of those from prison have picked up their lives where they left them for the trial.

The Sunday Times reported that in one case a convicted man was welcomed in his parental home is now back in his workplace.

According to the French conditional system, prisoners can request an early release if they have served half of their sentence, or in some cases a third party, and the rules are especially flexible if the prisoner is older than 70, has demonstrated good behavior or has a property they can return to.

In one case, a man only served 11 months of his five -year prison for worsened rape, according to information provided in judicial articles seen by the Sunday Times.

In the meantime, several other abusers escaped justice, whereby the police cannot identify more than 20 men involved.

Gisele was praised after she had anonymity and instead stoically attended the trial for three months and challenging each of the defendants when they were convicted of her rape and other crimes.

When she first spoke during the process, Gisele was symbolic for the impact that many survivors of rape hoped that the process would have when she said, “Shame must change party.”

As the interest in the case grew, Gisele blows and cheered when she arrived at the court and left at the end of the day. Graffiti in honor of her courage was fined at Avignon's medieval stone walls and protests in support of her broke out throughout France – with many who consider the matter to be a turning point for the country.

Nevertheless, many of the men who have been convicted of the horrible crimes do not seem to feel shame with 17 calls against their penalties.

Patrick Gontard, who represented Jean -Pierre Maréchal – the second most prominent suspect in the process – said: “Certainly, there were others who did not think it was correct that they were convicted.

“They claim that they were misled by Pelicot. Many people convince themselves that what they did was not that bad. It is human. '

Gisele's husband received the biggest penalty of 20 years for raping and organizing the mass rape of Gisele.

Judges have also found him guilty of recording and illegally broadcasting images of his wife and recording images of three other women. The police found around 20,000 lurid images and videos from Pelicot's wife who was abused in files on his computer, as well as photos of his daughter and his two daughters in nude.

The 72-year-old has a failing health and his daughter Caroline Darian shouted at him when his sentence was pronounced: “You will only die like a dog in prison!”
