Donald Trump could take the last steps to close the Ministry of Education within 24 hours.
The president is expected to sign an executive order that the department would abolish as soon as Thursday, reports the Wall Street Journal.
With reference to a concept of the order, the publication reported that educational secretary Linda McMahon will be given the task of taking all the necessary steps to facilitate the conclusion of the educational department.
This is done for 'the maximum extent that is suitable and permitted by law'.
According to the publication, the concept order is: “The experiment of controlling American education by federal programs and dollars – and the non -responsible bureaucrats who have programs and dollars support – our children, our teachers and our families have failed.”
McMahon was only recently appointed to Leiden the doomed 4,200-person Federal Agency.
She reportedly sent a company-wide e-mail to the staff on Monday in which she described her task to dismantle the department as a 'memorable final mission'.
She said that “she was on the task … by reaching the elimination of the bureaucratic bloat here in the education department – a memorable last mission – fast and responsibly.”

“I want Linda to get herself out of a job,” Trump said about McMahon in February.
The Ministry of Education has been low -hanging fruit for the initiative of Trump and Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (Doge).
Doge has already celebrated to cut billions of dollars off the desk, of which more than half a billion came from the cancellation of dei fairs.
And last month Trump said that the educational department was 'a big job' and that “I would like to close it.”
During her confirmation hearing in February, McMahon praised the work of the group led by Musk.
“So doe, there are a few implants at the Ministry of Education as there are agencies in the entire district,” said McMahon. “They do an audit.”
During the session she claimed that the department was guilty of 'excessive consolidation of power' and called for 'freedom of education, no systems run by the government'.

“Listen to parents, no politicians,” she said. “Build up careers, no school debt.”
During his election campaign, Trump promised to put an end to what he called 'Wokess' and 'Indoctrination' at the desk.
Spokeswoman Madi Biedermann said earlier this week that McMahon was very clear in her intention to bring Trump's vision to life.
“He was very clear about what his vision for the department looked like, and secretary McMahon was clear in the hearing that she is here to implement his agenda,” she said.
