A green -blue parliament member has threatened to sue her political rival for a 'shameful accusation' that one of her campaign staff covered a poster from an Israeli family who was abducted by Hamas.
The Bibas family was abducted during the terrorist attack of Hamas on October 7 at Israel in 2023.
Shiri Bibas, 32, and her two young children Ariel, Five and Kfir, two, were killed while they were in captivity in Gaza and only the father, Yarden, returned alive.
On Thursday evening the liberal candidate Ro Knox claimed that a poster for Allegra Spender, the MP for Wentworth in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, was placed over a photo of the Bibas family in Rose Bay.
It came like a poster for Mrs. Knox was also illegible with a Hitler mustache and a swastika scribbled on her forehead in black pen.
It is understood that the police investigate the alleged hate crime.
“It is also deeply disappointing and offensive that the Allegra Spender team chose to cover a Bibas family with one of her election boards,” said Mrs. Knox.
“This shows a lack of respect and our community deserves a campaign built on honesty, integrity and decency.”

Wentworth, including the suburbs of Bondi Beach, Rose Bay, Bellevue Hill and Vaucluse, has one of the greatest Jewish population in Australia.
In recent months there have been a number of violent anti-Semitic attacks in the area, including the attempted fireworks by the Jewish leader Alex Ryvchin's former Dover Heights house in mid-January.
But hours after the accusation was leveled, Mrs. Spender claimed that it was incorrect and claimed that her poster had been there first.
“My message was set up earlier, free from something else,” she said in as an explanation on Instagram.
“The volunteer who set up the poster is a Jewish Australia. The Bibas Family Poster was later inserted. There is time stamp photo-certificate and a legal statement from the volunteer to confirm this.
“I am considering legal options against the candidate of the Liberal Party and I ask that she apologizes unconditionally.”
“I am disgusted by the liberal party candidate to exploit the tragedy of the Bibas family for political gain.”
Daily Mail Australia approached Mrs. Knox for further comments.

On Thursday, the liberal candidate said that the disagreement of her posters was 'deeply disturbing and has no place in Wentworth or somewhere in Australia'.
“This kind of hatred and vandalism is completely unacceptable, and I call on all candidates and parties to stand against it,” she added.
“We reported this incident to the police.”
More come.
