But a Brit asked to be buried in his favorite wardrobe as part of a growing trend of unusual funeral requests.
Onderwikers have unveiled some of the most bizarre funerals of the past year to researchers from experts in the 1950s Sunlife.
They interviewed 100 funeral directors and 1500 British who had planned a funeral in the past year and asked them to reveal the strangest requests they had from customers or loved ones.
One of the strangest was an antique dealer whose definitive wish was to rest in his favorite wardrobe.
Another funeral director revealed what the wishes of the deceased were that pig tails would be placed in bouquets of flowers and mourners.
A guy, a former bus driver, asked that his body was worn to the crematorium in a coach's luggage compartment, and another early to go to his final resting place on the roof rack of a mini.
A Sunlife spokesperson said that the last 'costs of dying' report had established that 15 percent of all funerals contained unusual requests.

He said: 'Our latest report can unveil the most unique funeral requests of the past year, including a man who is buried in a wardrobe.
“Some personal requests are fairly simple, like anyone wearing purple, but some are more of the 'weird and beautiful' variety, such as placing pig tails in flowers. '
Mark Screleton, CEO of Sunlife, said today (Thursday): our report has established that 54 percent of us would like our own funeral to have a 'personal' element, including clear clothing instead of black, or a theme that reflects our preferences and interests.
'But when it comes down to it, most people don't tell their loved ones of these wishes.
'In fact, 18 percent of them have absolutely no idea with organized the funeral of a beloved about their last wishes – not even whether they wanted a funeral or a cremation.
“As a result, 64 percent of the funerals are 'traditional', while only 15 percent of the funerals contain a lake, we will say, unusual element.”
Sunlife has launched a new online tool, called My Perfect Send – off – that you ask to choose how you want your own funeral to go.
