A mother-of-two who had spoken her eyes by a sadistic ex-partner lives in constant fear after he has learned that he will soon be back on the street.

Tina Nash, 44, was permanently blinded during a horrible 12-hour domestic attack by sick criminal Shane Jenkin in 2011.

Jenkin, 46, was moved to an open prison two weeks ago – which means that he can walk through the street without supervision and look for work and training and visit family in this summer.

Tina, from Penzance, Cornwall, said MailOnline: 'I am terrified. He could stand behind me in a store and I would have no idea because he blinded me.

'I know he wishes him to have killed me that night, because then there would have been no witnesses and I could not pronounce. I still live in Penzance, I am a sitting duck.

'I feel very afraid of my safety, the conditional sign has said that it is vengeful and I have heard of people on his landing that he could not stop talking about me.

“I have been warned that the first thing he is going to do comes directly for me.”

Horror film-commanded Jenkin carried out his monstrous attack in April 2011. The night before he had viewed an eye mesh scene in the zombie film 28 weeks later.

Tina remembered how she felt her face to discover her eye from the socket and “thought she was dead.”

Truro Crown Court heard that it was one of the worst cases of domestic violence that the UK once saw. He was convicted of at least six years in 2012 and has since made seven failed bids for conditional release.

But with Jenkins now in a category D open prison, Tina Brave has spoken to prevent others from going through similar abuse and shared an up -to -date photo to warn women he meets of his violent past.

She said: 'People who knew him tell me that he is twice as big that he was when he went inside, he looks like a meathead.

“He was rather big, but he just looks dangerous. I don't believe he will ever be safe in public – he has a violent past long before he has done me.

“They told me that the decision to release him was ratified by the State Secretary in December.

'I was not even told that I could submit an appeal until 21 days after the window to do this was closed.

“I am the one who is a life sentence, not him – I will never see the faces of my children again and he will get his freedom back.

“It is all over again – this government bends back to give abusers a chance and treats their victims as a side issue.”

Tina says that she feels heavily abandoned by the legal system, after she was assured that it would 'last' many years before he was released '.

She rarely dares to leave the house after she was previously extremely social and at one point not leaving her bedroom for six months.

After she learned that she was powerless to stop his transfer to an open prison, she launched a GoFundMe page to help pay for security upgrades to her house for when he is released.

She said: 'I can't depend on the authorities to help, so I have to do it myself. The donations will keep me safe, my legal matter and buying things that I desperately need.

“If Jenkin is released, my property must be urgently focused, I need cameras and a security adviser to help me.”

Tina has also set up a petition against his release that has already been signed by more than 11,000 people.

But instead of applying her efforts to increase consciousness, Tina claims for probation “told her” because she spoke about her case with someone who asks her “don't you feel sorry for him?”

She said: 'When they said that to me, I felt confused – I have the right to pronounce and I don't want this to be brushed under the carpet. I don't want this to happen to someone else. '

The probation service is currently investigating Tina's complaint about the comment and the staff member involved is understood to deny the use of those words. Tina has since decided to break the contact with the probation service.

Prisoners in category D prisons are considered 'low risk' and often have their own keys and can spend their days away from prison and participate in educational, vocational training and work programs.

As recently as two years ago, Jenkin was held in a maximum security prison and spent time earlier in a psychiatric unit.

He subjected his ex-lover to a 12-hour attack in which he broke her jaw, breaking her up until she was unconscious and blinded her through her eyes.

Truro Crown Court heard in May 2012 that Jenkin was attacking Miss Nash as she slept at her home. Her two sons Liam and Ben were in the building

Jenkin ignored her desperate supplications to call an ambulance, held her for 12 hours and threw her in unconsciousness before blinding her.

She had several operations for four weeks of hospital treatment, but surgeons could not save her eyes.

Miss Nash, then 32, the court told her heartache because she knows she will never see her two sons again.

Losing her eyesight felt like she was being buried alive, she said.

Judge Christopher Clarke described the attack and said that Jenkin repeatedly kept her firmly around and, while he kept str also strangling her, she lost consciousness and hallucinated from time to time. “

Jenkin had previously attacked Miss Nash. Tina said she had thought she could change Jenkin's violent behavior, but warned other victims of domestic violence to get out 'before it is too late'.

Jenkin was also repeatedly banned from his local pubs in Penzance for violence, and three months before blinding Miss Nash, he was reportedly accused of breaking bail after an attack.

The 18-stone brutal was imprisoned for life in a safe unit for mental health care and ordered to serve at least six years before he was eligible for release.

He immediately appealed against his sentence, but the Court of Appeal rejected it.

His lawyers argued that the life sentence had to be destroyed to allow him to be free when his doctors are convinced that he had defeated his mental illness.

But the judges ruled that Jenkin was dangerous with or without a mental illness.

Laura Richards, former head of the Scotland Yard's Homicide Prevention Unit and criminal behavioral analyst, told MailOnline that she believes that Jenkin is a psychopath who can never be released safely.

Laura – who helped keep children's murderer Colin Pitchfork behind bars – said: “Based on everything I have assessed, he has an extremely lack of empathy and no fear of the consequences. I believe that Jenkin is probably a psychopath.

“He has no moral code and there is a real risk here. He has just said the right things to check a box and get closer to the release, but if my assessment is correct, he will never be safe to be released free.

'If he is a psychopath, the risk assessment is poor and if he is released, he will harm someone else, I have no doubt about it.

'The Parole Board must take into account the safety of future victims.

'Tina is spectacularly failed by the police, probation and everyone. She was told that he would be in prison for life.

'Her business is priority because she survived something that most people would not do. In the entire lawsuit he always blamed her and she is now much more vulnerable because she is blind. '

Mrs. Richards, who has analyzed Tina's case in her podcast, has encouraged British to write to the Workers' Law Secretary Shabana Mahmood and demands that she reverses the downgrades of Jenkin until he has been tested for psychopathy.

MOJ was approached for comment.
