But the lonely end of Gene Hackman in the mud room of his Mansion Santa Fe – a week after the death of his wife in the bathroom from a virus transferred by rats – was as far away as possible from the appearance as possible.
The police confirmed on Friday that Hackman, 95, died of cardiovascular disease around 18 February – days after Betsy Arakawa, 65, collapsed for Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS) in their bathroom around 11 February.
Officials said that Hackman – whose battle was confirmed with the advanced Alzheimer's on Friday – may not have known in a tragic point of view that his wife had died.
HPS, who initially presents itself with flu -like symptoms, can progress quickly, leading to breathing problems, low blood pressure and organ failure.

She was found on the floor with her head next to a space heating with thyroid medication pills spread over her.

Officials believe that the animal has been crated because of the recent medical care it had received.
A German shepherd named Bear and a second dog named Nikita were found around the 12 -hectare site – with a dog door, giving them access to food and water.

The dogs were discovered when the mummified bodies of Hackman and Arakawa were discovered on 26 February by two maintenance workers.
Dr. Heather Jarrell, Chief Medical Investigator for the state of New Mexico, said that their death were both ruled as natural and that no signs of internal or external trauma were found.
This followed on days of intense speculation around the mysterious deaths.
A CDC source told DailyMail.com that although the main house of the couple did not show any signs of rodent activity, some outbuildings of the building – including a garage and two Casitas – had rodent expansion and other proof of rodent activity.
Hantavirus is usually reported in the spring and summer, often because of exposures that occur when people are in the vicinity of excrement of mice in houses, barns or poorly ventilated areas.
Although Hantavirus is found around the world, most cases have been found in the US in the Western states.
The virus can cause a serious and sometimes deadly lung infection. Symptoms can cough, shortness of breath and tightness in the chest.
The death of the Hantavirus tribe in the southwestern United States is around 38% to 50% and is not transferable from person to person, Dr. Jarrell.
Jarrell said there was no reliable method to get an exact time before death, but concluded that Hackman probably died around 18 February.
On 11 February they said she had an e -mail conversation with her massage therapist before she went to a farmer's market later in the afternoon.

She was caught on CFS monitoring images shortly after the market, before she went to a local pets store.
Her car was then seen on supervision that entered the Gated Community on 11 February at 5:15 PM.
Civil servants said that countless e -mails remained unopened on 11 February and that there was no further communication of her account after that day.
Detectives are still waiting for collecting her full data from mobile phones, but said that her last known activity was 11 February.
Jarrell said: “Mr. Hackman showed proof of the advanced Alzheimer's disease, “said Jarrell.

Civil servants also said that there was no trace of carbon monoxide in the bodies of the couple.
Hackman's daughter Elizabeth had previously driven a theory that the couple died of carbon monoxide poisoning, which authorities officially destroyed last week.
She told TMZ that the family believed that their death came about after breathing in the poisonous vapors.
Hackman shared three children with his first wife Faye Maltese. He and Arakawa, a classic pianist, had been married for the past three decades.
The Nors-but beloved Hackman was one of the best actors of his generation, who appeared as villains, heroes and anti-heroes in dozens of dramas, comedies and action films from the 1960s to his retirement in the early 2000s.

Hackman met Arakawa, a classically trained pianist who grew up in Hawaii, when she worked part -time in a Californian gym in the mid -1980s.
They soon came in together and towards the end of the decade they were decamped to Santa Fe.
Hackman, a natural private man, got a recluse while he remained out of the public interest for years after his retirement from the film industry. He withdrew after acting in 2004.
Friends occasionally shared a glimpse of his post -acting life, including social media recordings of fish expeditions -while trying to his silver screen triumphs. He would also occasionally be seen who kicks around Santa Fe on a bike around Santa Fe.
The stucco of the pair, Pueblo-Revival style house is on a hill in a gated community on the southern point of the Rocky Mountains. Santa Fe is known as a refuge for celebrities, artists and authors.
Hackman devoted a lot of his time to painting and writing novels far from the social circuit of Hollywood.
He served for a few years on the board of directors in the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, and he and his wife were investors in local companies.
