A shooter was shot by the members of the secret service after he has been seen just outside the White House after midnight on Saturday.
Anthony Guglielmi, head of communication for the secret service of the United States, wrote in a statement: “Secret service staff was involved in a shooting after an armed meeting with a person of interest shortly after midnight on March 9 at 17th and Gstreets NW.”
The secret service explained that the suicidal person traveled from Indiana to DC – and just after midnight, agents saw his car on the street directly to the left of the White House.
'When officers approached, the individual waved in a firearm and followed an armed confrontation, which shots were fired by our staff.
'The suspect was transported to an area hospital and his condition is unknown. There were no reported injuries to the staff of the secret service. '
