One of his most popular hits promises, ‘You and I are gonna live forever’ – but his turbulent relationship history suggests Liam Gallagher is not one to ‘love forever’.
The Oasis frontman is embroiled in a new dispute with the mother of one of his four children – appearing to brand her a ‘gold digger’.
US journalist Liza Ghorbani gave birth to a ‘lovechild’ daughter by the Oasis frontman after an affair in 2010 – when Gallagher was wed to second wife Nicole Appleton.
Liam, 52, previously fathered another daughter with singer Lisa Moorish – and that during his first marriage, to actress Patsy Kensit.
The father-of-four is now settled with long-time partner Debbie Gwyther, his co-manager and to whom he proposed in 2021.
But the potential new legal case involving Ms Ghorbani adds yet another chapter to the tumultuous personal life of the self-styled ‘rock’n’roll star’.
Liam shares 12-year-old daughter Gemma with Liza and reportedly pays £3,000 a month in child support payments – though he has suggested in the wake of the latest reports that he actually hands over significantly more.
As the domestic saga plays out, and ahead of this summer’s long-awaited Oasis reunion tour tipped to net him and brother Noel £50million each, MailOnline here looks back on Liam’s tangled love life.
Patsy Kensit

Former child actress Patsy Kensit, who went on to feature as an adult in movies such as Absolute Beginners and Lethal Weapon 2, was 14 years older than Liam when they wed at Old Marylebone Town Hall in central London in April 1997.
She was previously married to two other rockstars – Big Audio Dynamite’s Dan Donovan from 1988 to 1991 and then Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr between 1992 and 1996.
Patsy and Liam met on a plane in 1995 and later said they instantly ‘clicked’.
Their quickfire romance came at the height of Oasis’s Britpop-era glory – and they famously posed together in Union Jack bedsheets for a Vanity Fair magazine cover in March 1997 which bore the headline: ‘London Swings! Again!’
The couple had a son named Lennon, after Liam’s Beatles idol, in September 1999 – the now-25-year-old has since become a musician and model, often photographed at events with either of his famous parents.
But the couple divorced in 2000 and Patsy told the Telegraph in December: ‘You get so tired, beating yourself up about things. I was just so sad. I was living every 18-year-old girl’s fantasy – and nightmare.
‘I’m gutted it didn’t work out. I thought I’d found it – that purity, that love. There was no sleaze. Our relationship developed over music and conversation. Yeah, and it died.’
In another interview 13 years later, she reflected on the relationship: ‘We just clicked on every level. He was protective and loving. When we were together there were fireworks, and a chemistry that lasted to the end.’
Patsy, now 57, responded to last summer’s Oasis reunion announcement by posting on Instagram: ‘I will say no more than this I am really happy for Liam and Noel.
‘I’m sure the tour is going to be thrilling and I send nothing but love and light to them both… No more questions it was 25 years ago.’
Lisa Moorish

Liam’s first daughter – and first ‘lovechild’ – was born after he had an affair in 1998 with singer Lisa Moorish, two months into his marriage to Patsy Kensit.
But the Oasis frontman and his daughter Molly, now 26, did not meet until May 2018 when she was 20.
Lisa, now 53, has previously claimed Liam wanted nothing to do with their child together as soon as she became pregnant.
In social media posts in the past, she also insisted she would ‘never’ stop Molly having a relationship with Gallagher – whom she referred to as the ‘man from Manchester’ with whom she had a ‘two-year on/off relationship’.
Moorish, who formerly fronted indie band Kill City and sang backing vocals on Oasis track Fade Away, posted on Twitter in 2010: ‘The man from Manchester was very angry that I decided to go ahead with the pregnancy and decided to stay out of her life.
‘I felt sad about it but accepted it. He agreed to pay his way. She is now 12 and the most amazing girl, loved by all around her. She is also old enough to catch wind or articles which mention her.
‘My only wish is that she has a good relationship with me and her father which is between them and I would NEVER get in the way.’
And Liam and Molly do seem have forged a strong bond in recent years, with his daughter changing her surname on social media from Moorish to Moorish-Gallagher and talking fondly of the time they spend together.
She said in 2019: ‘I don’t have any anger. I’m actually thankful for how I was brought up with my mum and how my life’s been.
‘I wouldn’t be who I am now if – it’s all happened the way it was meant to happen. We just got on and I’m happy to have him now.’
Nicole Appleton

Among the bands dominating the charts in the 1990s and early 2000s were not only Oasis and their Britpop arch rivals Blur but also girl groups the Spice Girls and All Saints.
The latter band, like Oasis, included a pair of siblings – in this case sisters Natalie and Nicole Appleton, who along with Shaznay Lewis and Melanie Blatt enjoyed chart-topping singles such as Never Ever and Black Coffee.
Liam and Nicole began dating in 2000, after his split from Patsy Kensit, and they had a son named Gene in July the following year.
After eight years together the couple tied the knot in February 2008, at Old Marylebone Town Hall in central London.
That was the same venue where Liam had previously wed Patsy Kensit and, perhaps significantly for such a keen Beatles fan, where Paul and Linda McCartney had married back in 1968.
Yet like Liam’s first, his second marriage would also break down – formally ending in a ‘quickie’ divorce granted at a 68-second hearing at London’s High Court in April 2014.
The court documents included a sworn statement signed by Nicole in which she said Liam had ‘admitted adultery to me prior to it becoming publicised in national newspapers’.
Liam and Nicole’s son Gene, now 23, performed with his band Villanelle supporting his father’s solo performance at London’s O2 Arena last June – with Nicole in the crowd, alongside her four-year-old daughter Skipper.
The All Saints star shared online a clip of her daughter dancing, adding: ‘Skipper’s first time watching her brother @genegallager rock the O2!! You guys were BRILLIANT!’
When asked by a fan on Instagram whether she had stayed to watch her ex-husband’s live set, Nicole replied: ‘Yes.’
Liza Ghorbani

The court papers submitted by Nicole Appleton for her 2014 divorce from Liam Gallagher, describing his admitted adultery, revealed the other woman involved ‘now has a child’ by him.
That was understood to be American journalist Liza Ghorbani and daughter Gemma., who are at the centre of the new claims over maintenance payments publicised in recent days.
Liam and Liza had a brief affair in 2011 and 2012 and Gemma, now 12, was born in January 2013 – with the couple’s relationship revealed five months later.
Ms Ghorbani filed a £2million lawsuit for child support that year and a confidential settlement was reached two years later.
Liam was fined for missing court hearings and publicly admitted that he had not met his daughter, although he offered to help her if needed.
Ms Ghorbani has now reportedly filed a new claim in he New York Supreme Court, according to the Sun which quoted ‘insiders’ close to Liam.
In response to reports suggesting he paid her £3,000 a month, Liam posted on X on Sunday: ‘And it’s 300 grand a year not 36 grand a year get your SUMS right LG x.’
He also posted a YouTube link to John Lennon’s 1969 live performance in Toronto of R&B classic ‘Money (That’s What I Want)’, previously covered by The Beatles.
Kadamba Simmons

One of Liam Gallagher’s earliest known relationships was back in 1994, with model and actress Kadamba Simmons.
At the time Oasis had not yet become the all-conquering chart-toppers and stadium-fillers of the future but were highly touted after being signed by Creation Records and that summer released their acclaimed debut album Definitely Maybe.
Kadamba featured in movies such as 1996 gothic horror film Anne Reilly, which was directed by Stephen Frears and starred Julia Roberts and John Malkovich.
She was tragically found dead in a London flat in May 1998, aged just 24, and an ex-boyfriend Yaniv Malka was later found guilty of her murder and jailed for life.
Liam said in tribute to her: ‘She was a good friend. It is tragic that she is dead.’
Lily Allen

Aside from Nicole Appleton and Lisa Moorish, another of Liam’s popstar dalliances was with Lily Allen – albeit a fleeting one.
Lily, now 39, revealed in her 2018 autobiography My Thoughts Exactly how the pair had joined the ‘Mile High Club’ together on a flight nine years earlier.
She described how they met on a plane to to Japan for the Fuji Rock Festival, got ‘hammered’ together and had sex in the toilets – before later heading to his hotel together after landing.
She wrote: ‘We got hammered on the plane. At some point Liam and I found ourselves together in the toilet doing something that he shouldn’t have been doing, and it wasn’t drugs. Then we were in a lie-down bed together.
‘When we landed in Tokyo, Liam said, in his distinctive nasal twang, “What you doing now? Why don’t you come back to our hotel”… I was like, “Yeah, OK”.
‘It wasn’t until the next day when he said something like, “No one can hear about this because of Nic”, then I clocked he was married.
“I knew Noel was married and I knew Liam had been married to Patsy Kensit. That was partly why I fancied him.”
She told how Nicole found out about the affair six months later – and that Liam ‘sounded awful, like he’d been up all night’ when he urged her to tell his wife the story was ‘b*****ks’.
Debbie Gwyther

Liam does now seem to be in a happy and settled relationship, engaged to his co-manager Debbie Gwyther, 40.
They live together in Highgate, north London, with Liam often seen jogging on nearby Hampstead Heath – though he has told in recent of years of having to cut back due to arthritis of the hips.
They share together two adopted cats named Sid and Nancy and a dog, also adopted, called Buttons.
Liam proposed to Debbie in August 2019 during a holiday on the Amalfi Coast in central Italy, although they have not yet wed.
They met in 2013 when she worked as his personal assistant after taking a job with his then management company Quest, run by Sir Paul McCartney’s manager Scott Rodger.
The couple were due to marry in Lake Como in 2023 but the nuptials were postponed when Liam needed hip surgery.
Liam previously told Q magazine: ‘Debbie swooped me up as I was falling. She just said, ‘Stop being a d***head. She got me out of the house, introduced me to all kinds of people outside my world, got me doing new things.
‘She was a breath of fresh air, man. She sorted me right out. Me and her like to do the same things. We like having a laugh. I’ve met my match, I’ve met my soulmate. It’s good because the kids love her, the lads love her.’
Courtney Love

One that got away could by US rockstar Courtney Love, the widow of tragic Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and who had her own indie band Hole.
Love, now 60, has spoken of enjoying a raucous night with Liam in 2000 only to turn down his advances due to his looks and personal hygiene – likening him to a ’13th century serf.’
Speaking to Metro in 2014, she recounted Liam playing her his hit Songbird in London’s famed Groucho club before asking her: ‘What do you think of me?’
She recalled: ‘I mean, he was lovely but he had really bad breath from being up all night and his eyebrows kind of met in the middle.
‘And I just thought he looked like a 13th century serf from Monty Python. And I blurted it out loud.’
She said Liam did not seem insulted because ‘he didn’t understand’ me, but her daughter Frances was less impressed.
Love added: ‘Frances, who loves Oasis more than Nirvana, was furious I didn’t sleep with him.
‘She texted me saying, “Mommy you are an epic sl*t but you never slept with Liam Gallagher!”‘
