Holidaymakers who go to Heathrow Airport are confronted this morning with chaos in the midst of reports that exploded a car on the M4 and the highway closed.
In the early hours this morning, the electric vehicle burst into flames in one of the tunnels of the highway.
Two fire engines were challenged to the stage to tackle the Inferno, which flooded the environmentally friendly car.
Emergency services have closed the M4 between Junction 4 and Junction 4A, causing chaos for commuters.
And in one fell swoop for jet letters traveling to Heathrow, access to the road to terminals 2 and 3 after the incident was 'limited', a spokesperson said.
People traveling to the busiest airport in Europe are encouraged to get public transport to the travel hub or use the M25 J14 or M4 J3 to prevent the highway massacre.
This is a crushing new story. Updates to follow.
