Rick Springfield revealed a shocking health diagnosis.
The Girl singer of Jesse, 75, recently had a full body scan that revealed that he is suffering from brain damage due to a fall that he performed in 2000 during one of his concerts in Las Vegas.
“I fell 25 feet, hit my head and then Wood came down and hit my head, and then my head hit the stage again,” he told people.
“I thought I had just broken my wrist, but on the scan I found out that I have some brain damage from autumn, so I am trying to repair that.”
Love is fine tonight, said that many people 'do not want to know' what is going on with their health – including his father – but he did not want to be the case.
“My father died by not wanting to know,” he said. “He thought he had stomach cancer for years and never got it.

'When he finally collapsed at home one day, they found out that it was an ulcer that burst, and he died of the loss of blood. It could have been resolved if he had checked it out. '
That was a wake -up call for the Australian resident.
“That was a huge message for me: if you want to live for a long time, you must be prepared for bad news now and then,” he went on.
“I could discover that I will have terminal cancer tomorrow and will be dead in a year, but I can only do everything I can do.”
Rick is perhaps 75, but he feels that he is 'in my head' in his 20s.
He explained: 'Then I see people dying from old age and illness and going:' Wow, I am the same old people! '' '
Rick tries to keep himself healthy and feel young by exercising every day and eating a predominantly pescate diet.
He also cut back two years ago on drinking alcohol, which helped him with the depression he fought since he was a teenager.

To make himself feel his best at the age of 75, Springfield exercises every day and eats a largely pescate diet. He also cut back on alcohol two years ago.
“I drank quite a bit, and as you get older, it's a kind of natural thing to drop everything,” he said.
'I'm not that [in] AA – I mean, I know many people for whom it worked. I will have a few sips of vodka or something like I am on stage, but I don't drink any other moment. '
Rick recently tried ketamine therapy to treat his depression, so that he tried suicide at the age of 17 and thinks as recently as 68 years old.
“I wanted to see if it would open a few things in my brain,” Springfield told People last month.
'It was a creative experiment and an experiment about depression. I did it as long as suggested, and I wasn't a big fan. I felt heavy and machine -like.
'It didn't change much for me – although I have written a lot, so you never know what kind of effect it will have later. It is not a black and white kind of things. '
Now Springfield says that he is more interested in 'micro-dosing'.

“I did sour, and that was actually a bit better,” he said, “I hadn't done that anymore since I was in the twenties, but it was a big high.
'I don't want to push anyone on someone, but I am not afraid of something that helps me to be happier and a better person. I could use some help in that area. I'm always looking. '
Rick has helped the public parts of his struggles with depression.
“I want people to know they are not alone,” said Springfield. “It's like sharing sorrow when someone dies, it's very powerful.”
