A man and his dog are killed by a car that is said to be 'turned on' reversed 'after a taxi.
Emergency services scribbled yesterday around 5 pm to the intersection of Hollyhedge Road and Greenwood Drive, Wythenshawe.
They found a man and his dog who had sustained fatal injuries after they had been hit by a vehicle that was bumping with another car.
A woman in the forty was arrested on the spot on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Since then she has been released on bail.
It is believed that the collision took place after the vehicle, a black car, collided with another vehicle at the intersection after the south on Greenwood Drive.
The vehicle then hit the pedestrian and his dog, which unfortunately caused fatal injuries. Reports from the scene yesterday said the black car 'turned' and the man hit a taxi after he had crashed.
The police now appeal to witnesses to help them with their investigation.

The police of Greater Manchester said in a statement: 'Shortly before 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2025, we were called for reports that a pedestrian and a dog had been hit by a vehicle on the Hollyhedge Road and Greenwood Drive, in Wythenshawe.
'Emergency services were present, but despite their efforts, the pedestrian died, a man in the 60s, and a dog unfortunately died on the spot.
'A woman in the forty was arrested on the spot on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. She was released on bail.
'We are now calling on witnesses to help our questions.
'The vehicle, a black car, drove south on Greenwood Drive to the intersection of Hollyhedge Road.
'When the vehicle entered the intersection, it collided with another vehicle on the opponent of the road, before it hit a pedestrian and unfortunately caused deadly injuries on the scene on him and his dog. There were no other serious injuries to report.
