The weekly time delay between the death of Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa can make it easier to end the Star's $ 80 million Hollywood-Fortuin, lawyers told DailyMail.com.
Officials in Santa Fe, New Mexico, released details about their probe on Friday in the curious death of Hackman, 95, and Arakawa, 65, who were discovered dead in separate rooms of their house on 26 February.
Arakawa, it happened, had died of a rare virus spread by mice on about 11 February, while Hackman, an Alzheimer's patient, probably died of heart disease on 18 February, said civil servants.
She was found in a bathroom with one of the three dogs of the couple, who was dead in the crate.
These conclusions of the New Mexico office of the medical researcher and the office of Santa Fe Sheriff answered many of the questions that were swirling after the bodies of the couple were found by a caregiver of their gated community.
They can also play a role in distributing the ownership of the pair – the $ 3.8 million house in Santa Fe and other assets that, according to celebritynetworth.com, amount to around $ 80 million.
This could have consequences for every inheritance that Hackman's son and two daughters from his previous marriage to Faye Maltese – Christopher, Elizabeth and Leslie – receive. Arakawa, a pianist from Hawaii, had no children.
The timing of the death of the couple is important because, according to the law of New Mexico, if they had died within 120 hours in succession, their death would have been classified as 'simultaneously'.

This may have influenced how the estates of Hackman and Arakawa were divided.
But in view of the fact that researchers discovered that Hackman lived seven days after his wife, based on his Pacemaker -activity, that provisions would not apply, and his estate could be distributed over his beneficiaries than Arakawa, experts said.
“In many states, including New Mexico, there is a kind of suspected triggering deadline of five days before you have considered surviving under the conditions of most of the most testaments,” Kevin Holmes of Holmes Law Firm told DailyMail.com.

Perhaps the most consistent unknown factor is who Hackman and Arakawa have called their beneficiaries, said Beedagher. People usually call their partner and children. But it is also not uncommon to name caregivers, friends and even carers.
“It's your money,” says Beedagher. “You can give it to whom you want, including a donkey sanctuary in Connecticut.”
Another important factor could be the date on which all will or legal documents were signed, he added. This is especially true for Hackman, given his deterioration of Alzheimer's, because all recent updates of his papers can be requested.

“If it is more recent, this does not mean that it is invalid, it simply means that it is ripe for a potential challenge – especially if it does something if everything leaves to a caregiver,” said Beedagher.
Other unknown factors include or Hackman and Arakawa have made a pre-wedding or post-wedding agreements, and whether children or other potential beneficiaries will make claims about the estate.
And although there is probably some action in the coming days, the entire process can take much longer – according to the Law of New Mexico, family members and others have a maximum of three years of someone's death to submit a probationary period.
Hackman's two daughters, Elizabeth, 62, and Leslie, 58 and granddaughter Annie, have released a statement stating that they were 'destroyed' by his death.
“He was loved and admired by millions around the world for his brilliant acting career, but for us he was always just dad and grandfather,” said the explanation.
Leslie told DailyMail.com that she was 'close by' with her father, but that they had not spoken 'a few months' before his death.
While Santa Fe Sheriff Adam Mendoza says he has faith in the timeline of what happened on the ownership of the couple, he said reporters on Friday that the case will remain open until they 'close the meshes'.
Despite the fact that each of the deaths is natural, without signs of internal or external trauma, Mendoza has insisted that authorities were not done with the investigation.
In particular, the sheriff said that officers are waiting to see the mobile phone records of the couple, as well as the results of a necropsia or autopsy, which will be performed on their deceased dog.

Both Hackman and Arakawa suddenly seemed to have fallen on the floor and neither of them showed signs of blunt strength trauma.

It is often transmitted by the air when people wipe out sanding or cupboards where mice have lived.
It starts with flu-like symptoms and can lead to heart and lung failure, with around 38 percent to 50 percent of the cases that result in death.
The 12-year-old Australian kelpie mix of the couple, Zina, was found dead in a crate in the same room.
Arakawa had picked Zina in a crate on 9 February from a veterinarian in Santa Fe, which can explain why the dog was found dead in the crate, Mendoza said. It may have died from hunger.
Their two other dogs, Bear and Nikita, survived and were found around the ranch in the southwest of the couple.
Hackman was discovered on the floor of a mud room near the kitchen with its sunglasses and reeds in the neighborhood, indicating that he may have fallen, said civil servants.
There was no trace of carbon monoxide in the bodies of the couple, despite many who thought they were initially poisoned.
Hackman, a former marine who is known for his grating voice, appeared in more than 80 films, as well as on television and the stage during a long career that started in the early 1960s.
