Thirteen people were arrested after a 24-year-old man was ambushed and stabbed to death during a violent fight in Melbourne.
Lino Atem, 24, was attacked in the Haines Drive Reserve parking lot in Wyndham Vale, in the west of the city, around 11.30 pm on January 10.
The police of Victoria carried out a series of searches in Melbourne early on Tuesday morning and arrested 13 men between 15 and 23 years old.
Although the motivation for the attack is still unknown, the police believe it was a case of a wrong identity.
It comes after Lino's father said that he needs 'justice immediately'.
“I'm waiting for the government and the police to catch these people,” he said in January.
'When I wake up and see the news, I cry again, me and my son. We cry for Lino this morning. He does everything for me. Try to help me '.

The young tradion suffered from stab wounds and died on the spot, which is only 100 meters from his house.
Detective acting Inspector Adam Shoesmith said that every small detail could make a 'huge difference' with the case.
'Although we believe that this incident was the target, there is nothing to indicate why the group was attacked and the police believe that it is probably a case of a wrong identity.
“We cannot imagine how difficult it should be for the Atem family, knowing that there are people who can help solve this and call the murderers of their loved one to account, and yet they choose not to do that.”
It was again a tragedy for a family that was already mourning for Lino's oldest brother Atem Atem, who was shot and killed in the Wyndham Vale house of the family in February 2023.
At this stage, the police said that there is nothing that the death of Lino and Atem is linked.
