Khalil was held on Saturday evening by ice officers – who said they had been ordered to withdraw his green card – for his pregnant wife.
But a federal judge Jesse Furman, from the southern district of New York, poured cold water on Monday on Trump's plan. Furman blocked the administration to deport Khalil to at least the next hearing on Wednesday.
