The Seattle-based radio aoster and Podcaster Bob Rivers died at the age of 68 after a cancer fight.
The beloved Rock and Roll Radio Personality has been a mainstay on air waves in and around the state of Washington for 25 years.
In a message last week was from his Facebook page, Rivers said that in January 2022 he was diagnosed with Stadium 3, which was rapidly progressing to stage 4.
Rivers had said that he was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma, a cancer that comes from the gland cells.
He added that he lately had different complications with his health that made life with this disease a little more difficult.
Less than a week later a statement on his website said: 'With heavy hearts we share the death of our dear friend, mentor and legendary broadcaster, Bob Rivers.
'Bob touched countless lives with his humor, kindness and passion for telling stories. His voice can remain silent, but his impact will never fade. '
Rivers is survived by his wife Lisa and two sons Andrew and Keith, as well as his granddaughters Hazel and Georgia.

Rivers focused on promising to continue to broadcast until the Orioles won a competition, go into the broadcast for 11 days and managed to sleep alone between songs
Originally from Connecticut, Rivers started his career broadcast in the Massachusetts area as part of the 'Bob and Zip' morning show with Peter Zipfel.
It was at this time that he started producing parody numbers in 1987 and released the album 'Twisted Christmas'. It would be Gold Certified later.
His breakthrough came with his 'Twisted Tunes' series Parody numbers that saw him sign a record deal with Atlantic Records.
After moving to Baltimore Rock Station '98 Rock 'in 1988, he promised to stay in the air for the Baltimore Orioles during a losing series.
Rivers rose to promise to promise national attention until the Orioles won a competition, went into the broadcast for 11 days and managed to sleep alone between songs.
He won the Billboard -Radiopromotie of the year for his marathon, which turned out to be a huge media and helped to increase the reviews.
He then went to radio stations in Seattle, where he walked the Bob Rivers for 25 years over several stations.
In 2023 he was formally recorded in the Radio Hall of Fame, with chairman Kraig Kitchin who said at the time: “Bob was one of those people who enjoyed the radio.”

After his retirement, according to Mynorthwest, he took over the world of podcasting and even gave radio classes to Green River College in Auburn.
Since his death has been announced, his social media pages have been flooded with tribute.
His former fellow host Peter Zipfel said: 'Having a little trouble putting pen on paper at the moment, but wanted to thank everyone for all the friendly words, thoughts and memories posted for my old friend and radio partner Bob Rivers who died this morning.
'His remarkable career and silent determination of his last years clearly influenced and inspired many.
'Personally, he made an uncertain diagnosis to make contact with a lifelong friends in a mission, for which I will always be grateful.
'Without a doubt I will miss the chemistry. I already do it. And for Lisa, Keith and Andrew, a lot of love. '
Station 102.5 Ksok said: 'We are absolutely stripped to share with you that our friend, Radio Hall of Famer and Seattle Morning Radio Icon Bob Rivers died after a long battle with cancer.
'Bob was a legend in Seattle, where he brought for 25 years on the ether here at 102.5 kzok, 95.7 KJR and KISW.
“He lit every room in which he sat and loved nothing more than a great conversation and sent all love to his family and friends in this difficult time.”
