Cars will be banned from one of the most famous shopping roads in London, because regular overcrowding overpopulation sees a maximum of 40,000 visitors on the street.
Camden High Street in Noord -London is extremely popular, especially with tourists, but pedestrians regularly walk into the road while trying to walk past the sidewalk.
Now Camden Council has agreed to test the removal of cars from a part of the street, which is popular with both tourists and celebrities.
The new pedestrian room will be accompanied by changes in nearby streets in an attempt to create 'safer and healthier public places for residents, companies and visitors'.
A public consultation showed that 70 percent of people supported pedestrians and the proposal to limit a motor traffic -free part of Camden High Street.
Camden Town is an internationally recognized destination and an important transport hub with its famous markets, stables and music locations.
Famous residents include artists and musicians such as singer Amy Winehouse, who died in a period of the house near the Hoofdweg.
The Hoofdstraat is the first thing that many people see when they leave Camden Town Tube or get off the bus.

But at peak times there can be tens of thousands of people in the Hoofdstraat, creating a significant overcrowding with pedestrians who have to avoid cars, buses and bicycles.
The test will see the removal of all vehicles on Camden High Street, from the intersection with Parkway and Kentish Town Road, in front of the underground station of Camden Town, and to the intersection of Jamestown Road and Hawley Crescent.
Buses towards Chalk Farm will travel past Kentish Town Road and then Hawley Crescent before they go north.
TFL has provided £ 130,000 for the development of the process, which is part of the plans of Camden Council to set up a low emission neighborhood in Camden Town and is supported by mayor fee.
The Council will hold the test under constant assessment and collect data to test the effects, including feedback from residents, companies and visitors.
The closure can ultimately be made permanently.

'The Hoofdstraat is the first thing that many people see when they leave Camden Town Tube or get off the bus.

Will Norman, De Walking and Cycling Commissioner Van London, said: 'This test is great news for Camden.
'The removal of traffic will improve air quality and enable the Hoofdstraat, because residents and visitors enjoy a safer, cleaner and attractive environment.
'This scheme is part of the plans of Camden Council to set up a low emission neighborhood in Camden Town, supported by £ 500,000 in financing the London Air Quality Fund of the mayor.
“It is a great example of an ambitious, locally led project that improves London's air quality and supports the mayor's goal for a more honest, greener London for everyone.”

The test will be introduced under an experimental traffic order that will last a maximum of 18 months.
It starts later in 2025 with an opening event.
