Four people have been charged with the death of a five -year -old boy who was murdered when his hyperbaric chamber exploded.
Thomas Cooper, five, died when the oxygen chamber burst under pressure in a medical facility in Michigan on January 31 in flames.
His mother, Annie Cooper, suffered serious burns when she tried to save her son from the explosion in the Oxford Center.
The attorney general has sued four employees from the center in connection with the death of Thomas and claims that they 'have kept safety under their lowest considerations'.
The founder and chief executive of the center, Tamela Peterson, 58, is accused of second -degree murder.
Facility Manager Gary Marken, 65, and safety manager Gary Mosteller, 64, are accused of second -degree murder and involuntary manslaughter.
The operator of the Chamber when it exploded, Aleta Moffitt, 60, is accused of involuntary manslaughter and the deliberate placement of false medical information on medical records.
“A single spark seems inflamed in a fully involved fire that claimed Thomas's life within a few seconds,” said Attorney General Dana Nessel, the addition of many guarantees were developed because “each of this fire is almost certainly fatal.”
