Former Australian Quick Brett Lee's Beer company collapsed to the American market only a few months after expansion.
Sydney Beer Co collapsed because of a difficult trade environment, according to documents submitted to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
The company exported beer to Malaysia and the United States six months after it had collected more than $ 6 million to finance the expansion.
RSM Australian partners Brett Lord and Richard Stone have become managers of the company.
The company will meet creditors on March 19.
Mr. Lee was one of the most intimidating Speedsters in Australia, with 310 test wickets under his 76 -match belt.
He owns the beer company with film actor and TV writer Matt Nable.
The beer is filled in independent bottle stores, as well as Murphy's, BWS and other large cellars in NSW.
“We are fed by a conviction that our iconic city earned a local ownership premium lager as an alternative to the regular Asian and European brands that dominate the market,” is the company's website.
“With a dynamic team behind the scenes and high -profile owners and stakeholders, Sydney Beer Co has launched a product that is loved by everyone.”
The company was founded in 2016 and was directed by Dean Woodbridge and David Catterall, according to Asic documents.
