A contagious virus outbreak has left dozens of passengers and crew sick and separately behind during their almost three -week trip.
After the Coral Princess Cruise Ship had sailed from California on 21 February on February 21, 69 of the more than 1,000 passengers and 13 of the 895 crew members were brought down by the vomiting and diarrhea Bug Norovirus.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), this is the second outbreak of the virus on cruise this year after the Coral Princess had reported cases in January.
The New York Post reported that the sick holidaymakers and employees were isolated and to contain the outbreak, public spaces were thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.
Disgle samples from sick passengers were also collected for further testing.
The ship arrived in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday after completing stops in Mexico, Costa Rica and Aruba.
“On the earliest signs of illness, we immediately established improved remediation protocols, including extensive disinfection, affected guests isolate and offer health guidance to everyone on board,” said the cruise line in a statement.

In 2022, the Coral Princess suffered from an outbreak of COVID-19 that forced 100 passengers and crew for five days of their vacation in isolation.
The ship was the first luxury lining to enter West -Australian (WA) Waters in more than two years when it drew in Broome in October 2022.
But about 100 infected passengers and crew cannot leave and must remain isolated in the next five days after the virus was discovered.
The Coral Princess had left for Sydney on 11 October 2022 after the state government announced that it would allow large cruise ships to moor the coastline of the state again.
