The murderer who has stabbed school girl andam in a row over a teddy bear death was imprisoned for life with a minimum duration of 23 years.
Hassan Sentamu, 18, flew on 27 September 2023 in a flurry of 'White-Hotel Anger' and stuck Elianne in the neck with a kitchen knife outside the Whitgift Center in Croydon, Zuid-London before fled the stage and dropped the knife on his way.
The fatal attack took place after Sentamu was planning to meet his ex-girlfriend, with whom he had broken down about 10 days earlier, and her group of friends, including Elianne.
Instead of giving back a teddy bear as part of an possessions, he drove down four times and stabbed Elianne, after he had lost his patience in the observed 'lack of respect', jury members heard earlier.
The process heard how Sentamu's ex had kept her side of the bargain by taking a plastic bag of his possessions. But when he popped up without the Teddy bear, Elianne showed her loyalty to her friend by taking back the bag and running away.
In a victim -impact statement, Elianne's mother Dorcas Andam said that she was the 'friendliest, most loving daughter' who was 'lively, creative and targeted' and loved singing and braid hair.
She said: 'Now the music has stopped, the laughter has disappeared. The only thing that remains is a deafening silence. '

She spoke to Sentamu and said he had ruined her life when he killed her daughter in the most 'intentional', 'meaningless' and 'malignant' way.
Elianne was full of potential, had dreamed of becoming a lawyer and would have done 'the biggest things' if her life was not taken, Mrs. Andam said.
She added: 'The question that pursues me forever is why. .. What did she ever do to earn so much cruelty? '
Mrs. Justice Cheema-Grubb, condemnation, said, “Elianne was 15 when you killed her, she will always stay only 15, she will never realize the potential of her life.”
She described Elianne as a 'hard -working, happy girl who fully lived life'.
The judge continued: 'The pain of her loss for her parents and younger brother cannot be described
“Her father says she was a friendly beautiful girl.
“Her mother remembers her big dreams to change the world and become a lawyer and to fight for justice.”
Mrs. Cheema-Grub added how a mural was set up for Elianne in Croydon, near where she was murdered.
She added: “The presence marks the determination of the community as powerful as they can – put down the blades.”
