Trump to demand allies pay more in White House showdown with NATO chief

President Donald Trump today meets the NATO-Secretary General Mark Rutte (below) in the White House.

Trump consistently criticized other members of the Alliance because they have not met the 2 percent of GDP benchmark for military expenditure.

He recently said that the US would not defend members who 'did not pay'.

Article 5 of the foundation treaty of the organization says that all members will be defending another member in the event of an attack.

The White House is planning to withdraw the appointment of Trump's Pick for CDC director because of his anti-vaccine stores.
