A Hatton Garden claims that he had no idea of £ 4.8 million golden toilet from Blenheim Palace that he was sold stolen, a court heard.
Jeweler Bora Guccuk, 41, accused of selling part of the 'swamp of gold', took the precious metal of the 40-year burglary, James Sheen.
The installation was removed from the palace where Winston Churchill was born in a 'daring' five minutes in the early hour of September 14, 2019.
The court heard that Guccuk was brought into contact with Sheen by businessman Fred Doe, 36.
Sheen has allowed burglary, heard jury members, while one of the accused burglars Michael Jones, 38, denied the same indictment.
Businessman Doe and Hatton Garden Jeweler Guccuk both deny the conversion or transfer of criminal ownership.
Kevin Dent, defensive Guccuk, said that Guccuk had no idea that the gold had been stolen and claimed that shine was lying to get the best possible price.
Guccuk would buy the gold at the market price of £ 26,500 per kilo at that time, and a four percent reduction for his share in it.
Earlier in the trial it was heard that Doe, Sheen and Guccuk had negotiated a price for the gold, which was discovered via screen grabs, speech nuts and messages on the phone from Mr Sheen.

A Hatton Garden more, Bora Guccuk, claims that he had no idea of £ 4.8 million golden toilet from Blenheim Palace that he was sold stolen, a court heard

A gang armed with front hammers and maternity bars were recorded on CCTV (photo) that rolled the toilet out of the beaten window and in the boot of a waiting car before you greasy away

The toilet, which weighed 98 kg, was completely monitored, was grown in a dramatic five -minute raid on Blenheim Palace (photo) shortly before 5 hours on September 14, 2019.
It was claimed that the jeweler, who ran Hatton Garden Jewelers in London, would make £ 3,000 profit for every kilo he sold, the BBC reported.
Mr. Dent suggested that his buy at market price would not be logical if he knew the gold was stolen.
He said: 'Mr. Guccuk approached this potential sale as if he bought legitimate gold, otherwise the price points will not make sense, right?
'If that is true, if Mr Guccuk wanted to buy on the market rates, where will the persecution go from there?
'In this case, nobody even suggested that a sale of about ten kilos of gold would be suspicious in itself.
'It's all composing, this is perhaps you think the real question is, you can exclude the possibility that Mr Guccuk offered the right legitimate ordinary market rate because he believed that this was ordinary legitimate gold?
'If you can't exclude that, how will you help in terms of your verdict here.
'Had James Sheen a motive to hide from Mr Guccuk where the gold came from?

Together with two other men at Oxford Crown Court, he is accused of involvement in the conspiracy to steal the 18-carat golden toilet (photo)
He argued that Mr Sheen had a motive to hide from Gurruck where the gold came from.
'Mr Sheen had a very good reason to hide the origin of the gold from a potential buyer such as Mr Guccuk, why?
“The answer is clear; Because Mr Sheen could only hope to convince a buyer that it was legitimate, because who would pay Topdollar for curved goods?
“You are going to get a much higher price if you can convince someone that it comes from a legitimate source.”
Mr. Dent continued: 'Can you wisely exclude the possibility that Jimmy Sheen tried to get a better deal for his gold by handing it off as legitimate?
“What does the evidence say about why Mr Guccuk was chosen as a potential buyer?
“You can see that it is all about Mr Guccuk who is a big player, someone who knows everything about gold and gold markets and someone, the most important thing that had the influence to pay for the gold.”
He added: “The messages all revolve around Mr. Guccuk as someone with the influence to do the deal.”

Michael Jones (photo), 39, visited the historic estate twice in the days before a gang went in to steal the artwork on September 14, 2019, including a visit to the exhibition a day earlier
Doe told Jury members that he had no idea that the gold had been stolen and that he felt like a 'fool' to get involved in selling it.
The toilet, which weighed 98 kg completely, grew in a dramatic five -minute raid on Blenheim Palace shortly before 5 hours on September 14 in a dramatic raid in Blenheim.
A gang armed with front hammers and crow bars were recorded on CCTV that rolled the toilet out of the toilet and into the boot of a waiting car before he groaned away.
Michael Jones is said to have stolen the 18-carat Gold Loo called 'America' by conceptual artist Maurizio Cattelan.
Jones previously denied that he was in the palace in the days prior to the robbery.
Jones, from Oxford, denied one count of Buglary, while Sheen, 40, from Wellingborough, guilty of burglary argued.
Doe, Van Ascot, Windsor and Guccuk van London, do, refuse conspiracy to transfer criminal ownership.
Guccuk has also chosen not to provide evidence.
The trial continues with Judge Ian Pringle KC because of the case on Monday morning before jury members start their deliberations.
