A little -known city in southern New Jersey has been named the most charming small cities in the US.
The historic area, which is located on the Delaware River and has a population of about 4,000, was mainly a weekend away for people who want to escape from Philadelphia or New York City, but it now pulls full timers who love his artistic scene.
'It is usually a very polite place. It is a place that is sometimes shocking for people, because everyone says hello, 'Brad Sanford, the local broker and the city dweller, tells Daily Mail.
'People who move here want that small town to feel. They want people to be nice. It is a very nice place. And the architecture is sweet. '
Sanford says that many inhabitants of the city of artists or musicians are of a kind that enjoy the restaurants and shops of the Main Street, all run by the local population. The only store shop in the city is a CFS. All restaurants and shops are local ownership.
“It's just like Gilmore Girls, it's a small stars that way,” he says.
Residents of Lambertville can often be seen who enjoy bike rides and walk past Delaware and Raritan Canal State or stroll with their dogs in Main Street.
“The river is great. I mean, people use nature here. Very often everyone walks his dogs and you know the name of the dog, which is a bit great, “says Sanford.

New Hope has become a popular destination for celebrities such as Bradley Cooper, who bought a 33 -hectare farm there in 2024 for $ 6.5 million.
Cooper's girlfriend Gigi Hadid and her mother have individual houses in New Hope, and Bob Dylan's musician son Jakob Dylan own houses there.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Hailey Bieber are individually seen in the area.
'New Hope simply compliments Lambertville. In my personal opinion, I think Lambertville is better because I love it, “says Sanford.
Hollywood also discovers Lambertville. Last summer, 'Echo Valley', a film with Julianne Moore and Sydney Sweeney, was shown filming throughout the city.
In recent years, houses for sale have doubled in the community, with a few houses in desired streets for almost $ 1 million.
