Newly released video showed the missing University of Pittsburgh -student Sudiksha Konanki vomiting outside a bar in her Dominican Republic Resort shortly before she disappeared.
The disturbing clip also shows Joshua Riibe, the Iowa man who was last seen with Konanki, 20, who surrender in the same place near a bar in the Riu Republica Resort in Punta Cana where they both stayed.
The images emerged when it was revealed that Riibe, 24, changed his story several times during a series of interrogations by authorities, people reported. He is not mentioned in Konanki's disappearance.
The new images showed the 20-year-old Konanki-Braken at 4:05 am on March 6 before he went back to the bar.
Riibe continued to broke in the background while two men stood with him.
Konanki and three of her friends then went to the beach with Riibe and his friend.
Separate security camera of the All-Inclusive Resort showed Riibe who held a cup and put his arm back Konanki while following the group at 4.15 am.
At about 4:55 am the hotel protection camera system showed two of her friends who returned to the hotel.
The same camera grabbed another girlfriend, accompanied by Johnson who entered the building at 5:05 am.
The surveillance camera would show Riibe, Barefoot and Shirtless, while slowly walking back to his room at 8:54 am with Konanki nowhere in sight.
The new resort images only come a few days after Riibe was questioned at the office of the public prosecutor.
Riibe told a public prosecutor that he and Konanki had kissed in the ocean before they were almost wiped out by a wave. He said he saved her from drowning while he almost lost consciousness.
Riibe, who was flanked by two lawyers, refused to answer some questions, with the public prosecutor investigating him about how they could be sure what he said was true.
Riibe was also asked what he told his good friend about Sudiksha and what he thought of her disappearance.
Riibe was also asked if he knew if Sudiksha was able to swim, whether she gestured or cried in the sea, when he called the police or told the hotel, whether he had told his friends about what happened and also asked how he felt about the situation.
He said to all those questions: “My lawyers advise me not to answer that question and I follow their advice,” before I remain silent.
Riibe, a senior at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, claimed that he had just met the young woman when they decided to go to the beach, according to the transcript of his interview obtained by Noticias Sin.
“We were at waist-deep water. We talked and kissed a little, “said Riibe. 'A big wave came and met both of us. And when the water returned, it wiped us to the sea. As soon as we were able to come up, we tried to ask for help. '
He explained that he previously worked in a swimming pool as a lifeguard and tried to bring them both to safety when he started to feel sick.
“I got tired. I realized that she also got tired of swimming. I have been a lifeguard. I grabbed her and pulled her out. I kept her under my arm and swam to get her out of the water, “said Riibe.
