Israel is willing to continue to exist -the -fires on the basis of an American proposal for the release of 11 living hostages and half of the deceased, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Saturday evening.
In a statement about X, his office said: 'Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had an in -depth discussion tonight about the issue of hostages, with the participation of the negotiating team and the heads of the security company.
“After the discussion, the Prime Minister ordered the negotiating team to prepare for the continuation of the conversations according to the response of the mediators to the Witkoff proposal for the immediate release of 11 living hostages and half of the deceased hostages.”
The last development only comes one day after Hamas said that it would release the last living American-Israeli hostage and the remains of four other double national hostages after a proposal from mediators to continue negotiations in the second phase of a Gaza cease-to-end.
Edan Alexander, 21, will be released together with the bodies of four other hostages who died in captivity, Hamas has claimed.
Hamas said in a statement on Friday that it responded 'positive' to the proposal presented on Thursday to resume negotiations.
The group did not specify immediately when the release of soldiers, who was held hostage for 525 days, or the bodies would take place.
Other countries party to the agreement did not immediately confirm the declaration of the terror group.

Hamas' explanation comes while the conversations in Doha continue to try to mediate the next phase of the Stakes-Fires of Israel-Hamas, the first phase of which ended two weeks ago.
“Yesterday, a Hamas Leadership Delegation received a proposal from the fraternal brokers to resume negotiations,” a Hamas spokesperson said in a statement on Friday.
