A former police officer in Miami School will spend up to 30 years in prison for shooting her agent ex-boyfriend in the head outside his house in November 2022.
Yessenia Sanchez, 35, who had a history of domestic violence with her ex-boyfriend, Damian Colon, argued guilty of stalking and first degree attempted murder in the shooting on November 2022 of the Miami-Dade Police Officer since retired.
As part of the plea, Sanchez was sentenced to 30 years in prison with a maximum of 25 years.
In addition, Sanchez has to undergo for 30 years of probation after her release and he must stay away from the colon.
Sanchez used an app to stalk her alienated boyfriend, who was off-Duty at the time, to the house of his family in the 1200 block of West 79th Street in Hialeah in Hialeah on November 1, 2022.
The couple, which had had in a seven-year-old relationship at the time, had argued before the images of home monitoring promotions show the then 32-year-old Unholster a gun and shoots her ex-boyfriend before he takes off.
As he tried to escape, Sanchez crashed her car, left it and fled on foot before he was arrested, the Miami Herald reported.
Sanchez was accused of attempted murder of the first degree with a fatal weapon, exacerbated stalking and leaving the scene of an accident.

The police identified her by video surveillance and she later confessed to the shooting and admitted that she had used GPS to follow her ex-lover.
The former school officer was arrested the year before, in September 2021, due to domestic violence with regard to a fight with colon.
During the heated change of words, Sanchez reportedly threatened itself with a gun and a knife, threw a ceramic object to large intestine, before he hit and scratched it and cut his car tires.
Sanchez reportedly resigned from her school function later that month, instead of termination, according to the Miami-Dade School District.
Miami-Dade Staatsprocurer Katherine Fernandez Rundle issued a statement after Friday's conviction and claims that no one is immune to the 'horror' of domestic violence, not even law enforcers.
“Nobody is immune to the fear and horror of domestic violence,” Rundle said in a statement after the conviction. “Former police officer Yessenia Sanchez's shooting at her ex-boyfriend, another police officer, unfortunately proves this point.”

“Her violent act showed the pure explosion of aggression that is inherent to every incident of domestic violence,” she continued.
'Sanchez's 30-year punishment cannot recover the physical damage she did while she tried to kill the man she once claimed. Unfortunately, those scars will last forever. '
Colon, who retired last week from the Sheriff of Miami-Dade office, was in court when Sanchez accepted the plea, together with his relatives and friends.
“They ended my career. I would not have ended my career, but she ended my career and she knows that very well. My career would not end, “he said through tears.
Colon added that, although justice may have been served, Sanchez destroyed his life and that of his family.
“I think justice is served,” he said. “She got what she earned and she should have got it more, but I'll take what she got.

'Thank goodness for my family, for everyone who has been there for me. It was difficult. But without them I would probably not have endured this, “he added.
Colon's brother, David Colon, also spoke in court and addressed the woman who almost took on his brother's life.
'I want to tell you that you have destroyed our family. You destroyed someone full of life, [and] Full of plans with a bright future. You did that, “he said.
“I hope you don't have a day of peace,” the furious brother continued. “I hope you suffer the rest of your life every day and may God let you lead a very long life so that you could suffer from what you did.”
