The son of a magistrate is accused of nine offenses for child abuse, including care, rape and filming.
Cooper Mitchell Bamberry was held on Thursday in his home Helensvale, on the Gold Coast, by the Child Protection and Investigation Unit.
The 22-year-old is the son of Queensland magistrate Mark Bamberry and he was arrested after the police had asked the public for help.
The police released a limited picture of him on 2 March and the next day the authorities seized a number of Bamberry electronic devices for their investigation.
He was accused of four counts of indecent treatment of a child under the age of 16, two counts of entering into Penile gender community with a child under the age of 16, and one counts each of the caring child younger than 16, in which a child is involved in making operating material and spreading the exploitation of children.
He was on Friday at Brisbane judgment Court, where he received a bail by a magistrate.
It was probably moved to the north to Brisbane because magistrate Bamberry was located in Southport on the Gold Coast.
The case goes again for Brisbane Magistrates Court on 7 April.
