Authorities have intensified their search for Sudiksha Konanski after what is considered her Sarong and Flip-Flops were found on a beach chair, according to local media.
The 20-year-old student of the University of Pittsburgh disappeared on March 6 from the RIU República Hotel Beach in Punta Cana with many questions about her place of residence still unanswered.
There is an extensive aerial, sea and land search action, in which civil servants from the United States, the Dominican Republic and India are involved, where the Konanski family comes.
Now are images of a white -salated beach overk and a few slippers – similar to what the young woman was wearing when she was last seen – have been posted by local news output CDN.
The moving photos, which show what potential Konanski's possessions could be, were stretched over a lounger and sat in the sand next to the leg of the chair.
Authorities confirmed to the outlet that there were no signs of tampering with her possessions.
“This is one of the largest operations we have performed for saving a person,” said Agustín Morillo Rodríguez, general commander of the Dominican Republic of Marine, in a statement to CNN.
This is after images have been released, which shows that Konanski lay shortly before her disappearance in a bar in the resort in a bar in the resort.

Security cameras later show Konanski and three friends on their way to the beach with Riibe and another companion.
At 4:15 am Riibe is seen who places his arm around Konanski while they follow the group.
By 4:55 am two of her friends had returned to the hotel, followed by another girlfriend and the companion of Riibe at 5.05 am
At 8:54 am Riibe is recorded to walk back bare feet and shirtless to his room – Konanski is nowhere to be seen.
Riibe, a senior at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, has undergone several interrogations and reportedly changed his story several times.
Although he did not mention a suspect, he told the authorities that he and Konanski had kissed in the ocean before a wave almost threw them away.
He claimed that he saved her from drowning, but almost lost consciousness.
During the interrogation, however, Riibe refused to answer several important questions, with reference to a legal adviser.

When asked whether Konanski had cried for help, whether he warned the authorities, or whether he had shared details of the incident with friends, he simply replied: “My lawyers advise me not to answer that question.”

“We were at waist-deep water. We talked a bit and kissed. A big wave touched us and moved us to the sea. As soon as we popped up, we tried to ask for help. '
Despite Dominican officials who initially regard her case as a casual drowning, experts make doubts.
Private researchers told DailyMail.com that Konanski's body should have popped up if she had drowned.
“A casual drowning seems unlikely,” said researcher Toby Braun. “The water was not rough that night – no flood, no cracking flows – so she was probably not swept away alone.”
Stephen Leatherman, a professor in the earth and the environment at Florida International University, repeated these concerns.
“If they drowned, her body should have popped up in warm Caribbean waters,” Leatherman explained.
