Agonizing final moments of woman, 65, revealed after driver crashed into her van as she remained trapped inside

The dead body of a homeless woman in California was found in her van and found mutilated more than a month after the vehicle was seized.

Her deeply sad family has taken legal action – sue the city of San Diego for more than $ 50 million.

Monica Cameroni de Adams, 65, slept in the van parked in Clairemont when a drunken driver, Jordan Lopez, 25, hit her in November 2023.

But when the damaged van was dragged off the stage, no one realized that the victim was inside. She suffered and struggled enormously until she died, the court case claims.

In the meantime, Cameroni reported the Adams' daughter Natalia Danielle Cameroni-Adams missing her at the San Diego police. She started to worry after her mother had not answered SMS messages from Happy Birthday.

An employee of the towing company made the horrible discovery after noticing a mean scent that came from the van in December 2023.

She was buried under her possessions in the middle chair of the Honda Odyssey Minivan with severe fractions on her ribs, spine and arm. Her autopsy revealed that she died of blunt strength trauma.

“The face was unrecognizable because of the condition of her body,” the medical investigator wrote, CBS 8 reported.

Monica Cameroni de Adams, 65, slept in the van parked in Clairemont when a drunken driver, Jordan Lopez, 25, hit her in November 2023.

The Cameroni family de Adams claims that no officers have taken the trouble to check in the van. Her injuries were 'serious but to be treated' and her death was the result of negligence, the submission claims.

“Death was deliberately caused by leaving her alone, struggling with her injuries in her car, seducing her in her car, bringing her car to the towing garden and having her die there,” claimed the john Carpenter family to CBS8.

He added sarcastically: “The last place where you would think you were looking for a missing person in a car.”

The family also claims that they did not see the results of the autopsy of Cameroni de Adams only about a year after it was preformed.

In November 2023, Lopez was arrested from the stage with an alcohol content in the blood of more than three times the legal limit, according to CBS8. He reportedly told officer Mathew Brace that he “had made an oopsie.”

After the crash, Brace claimed that he tried to contact the registered owner of the van before he had it and dragged Lopez's car.

“Those two parked vehicles were removed via private drags, from the street because they were filled with real estate, and I wanted to avoid vandalism or thefts from the inside,” is Brace's report, according to CBS8.

Lopez has been charged with the death of Cameroni de Adams. He agreed with a plea and is confronted with six years in prison and five years of probation. His conviction is planned for March 19.

The driver was first accused of manslaughter of vehicles, but his lawyer argued that the victim probably lived after the crash and later succumbed to her injuries. His load was dropped on Dui that caused a lot of physical injury, CBS8 reported.

Carpenter said to the exhaust valve: 'Only because someone is homeless does not mean that they have no family that loves them.

“It's difficult. It is easy to overlook people who are homeless, but they do have loving families, and they matter, and this story is an example of that. '
