The police of South Australia do not investigate the 'inexplicable death' of a man who was wounded, and responds and surrounded by blood on Sunday morning.

Police and paramedics were called to a hiking trail between Brougham Place and King William Road in North Adelaide after reports had collapsed a man.

The man, 54, did not respond when the emergency services arrived and paramedics gave him half an hour CPR.

Despite their efforts, the man was declared dead after he was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

“We know that he was established in the garden at around 7.35 am by three members of the public,” Detective inspector Fraser Huntley said reporters on the spot.

“We ask everyone at O'Connell St, Brougham Place or Brougham Gardens between the hours from 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. to contact the police.”

In the midst of a huge police -presence on the spot on Sunday afternoon, inspector Huntley said there were no indications that weapons were involved.

“At this stage, until we have a post -mortem tomorrow, it is an inexplicable death,” he said, deposited in front of a large area for the investigation.
