Rescuers have stopped searching for an experienced diver who is missing this weekend off the coast of Florida, the American coast guard said.
Drake Sweet, 36, diving with a friend around 70 miles west of the coast of Naples on Thursday afternoon when he didn't appear.
The American Coastguard Southeast Division said that rescuers have searched around 4,275 square miles for sweet, but could not find him.
They announced on Saturday that the search had been canceled, with the free diver assumed death.
He had been on board a 21 -feet boat with his friend on Thursday evening when he popped up and never popped up again.
His friend has used an emergency beacon and activated a massive search from the Fort Myers Beach and Clearwater Coast Guard stations.
They searched the area through the sky and sea and diving into the ocean at depths of approximately 130 feet.

“Drake was missing during the freediving on March 13. Part of his equipment was picked up on the spot, but it is not established, “they wrote on the GoFundMe page.

The page has so far collected almost $ 100,000 to finance efforts to find the missing diver.
