A popular brand has issued an urgent recall for batches sushi -ginger sold in Asda and Waitrosis that can contain pieces of glass.
The Japanese and Korean food brand Kelly Loves has advised customers not to have pots affected by the consumer and to bring them back to stores for a full refund as quickly as possible.
The recall affects 150 g pots of the product with a best before date of 9 February 2026 with Batchnummer UK12019.
Kelly Loves also produces other Asian products, including noodles, sauces and kimchi.
In a statement published by the Food Standards Agency, the company said: 'Kelly Loves remembers a specific batch of Sushi -Gember because of a potential risk of glass pollution.
'Although the product has been removed from the shelves as a precautionary measure, we are now expanding the recall to consumers who may have purchased the affected product.
'Other Kelly likes sushi gingerbatches/products are not influenced by this recall.
'Customers are advised not to consume this product batch. We would like you to return the affected product in a friendly way to the store you have purchased, and you will receive a complete reimbursement (no receipt required).

It comes in the midst of other recent recall actions for snack food products.
TK Maxx and Home Sense have withdrawn packages from Lokumella Mini -Pistache rods about the fear that the product can contain traces of milk, which can be dangerous for people with an allergy or lactose intolerance.
The recall influences packages of the chocolate bars that are sold between January and March 2025 with two different batch codes.
These include the codes 758612 and 758664 that are visible on the price tag and the reception.
