Witte Huis Pers Secretary Karoline Leavitt Tauts CNN's Kaitlan Collilns on Monday, when she demanded evidence for the claim of President Donald Trump that Pardons signed by former President Joe Biden were void.
Collins asked Leavitt during the White House press conference about Trump's post on social media, where he argued that some of Biden's last-minute grace are 'void' because they were signed by the president's car opening.
When Collins Leavitt asked if there was 'evidence' that supports Trump's claim, she replied: “You are a reporter, you should find out.”
Trump asked the validity of the grace of Biden and claimed that the former president had no idea what his car-pen-signing was used for.
“The 'grace' that Sleepy Joe Biden gave to the non -select committee of political criminals, and many others, are declared invalid, empty and of no further strength or effect because of the fact that they were done by cars,” Trump wrote in an early morning post on Monday.
Collins asked Leavitt whether the president's legal advisers had spoken with the president before placing his claim on social media.
“The president raised the point, did the president even know this grace? Is his legal signature used without his permission or knowledge? “Asked Leavitt.
She again pointed to reporters who asked Trump's question to investigate whether Biden was cognitive about the grace that his signature was used to approve it.
“The president begged the question that I think many journalists in this room should ask,” Leavitt replied.
“And so I think it is a question that everyone in this room should look at, because that would certainly represent criminal or illegal behavior if employees sign the president of the American signature without his permission,” she continued.
Trump claimed that Biden 'knows nothing' about the grace and asked whether his staff had committed a crime.
'The necessary grace documents were not explained or approved by Biden. He knew nothing about them, and the people who did, may have committed a crime, “he wrote.
Trump also threatened to prosecute those who participated in the multiple investigations into his presidency, including members of the congress who were on the committee to investigate the 6 January riots on Capitol Hill.
“Therefore, those in the non -select committee, who have destroyed all obtained evidence and removed during their two -year witch hunts from mine, and many other innocent people, fully understand that they are being investigated at the highest level,” he added.
