A cheating mother from Utah who is accused of killing her husband has offered a plea – even if the police are still looking for the man's remains.
Jennifer Gemdhill, 42, will be tried in December for the suspected murder of her alienated husband Matthew Johnson, a judge ruled Friday. Johnson has been missing since September 2024 in their $ 1 million house near Salt Lake City.
The lawyer of Gedhill, Jeremy Deus, said Gemthill would have a plea, but did not say if she is considering it, as reported by KSL.
There are no details of that plea shared.
The mother of three is not guilty of murder, obstruction of justice and desecrocation of a body. Her process lasts eight days and starts on December 8.
Deus said that the police of Cottonwood Heights and the army reserve have searched for Johnson without happiness. “Still no body, no weapon,” Deus told court.
'We would really like to solve this. We would really like to find the victim, 'sgt. Gary Young with the police of Cottonwood Heights told ABC4.
'Our hearts go to the family. It must try for the children and family members and friends. Our community has suffered a loss. '
Gedhill gets one last chance – during a Pretial Conference on November 6 – to change her plea before her process starts.

The police say that Gemhill shot her national guard-armed member after a night of whiskey-driven sex that followed her confession of adultery.
A court saw images of which civil servants say that Gledhill brutally killed the father of her three children while sleeping, before he dragged his lifeless body and the blood through their house.
Officers of Justice showed images of blood stains on a carpet that lay under the bed in the bedroom of the couple, where detectives believe that Johnson was killed as he slept. DNA analysis confirmed that it was Johnson's blood, by prosecutors.
Authorities showed a GPS follow -up card showing that Gedhill was traveling north the day after the alleged murder on September 21 to a location where Matthew's red truck was found.
At the same location, the police say that they have found a vehicle storage container in a creek. Researchers say that the inside of the container has been positively tested for Matthew's blood.
A creepy snap of the bedroom of the couple where the whiskey-driven sex and the subsequent murder took place was also shown in court.
GPS data also revealed that Goldhill traveled to another location in the same province where the police found the mattress and pillows of the couple in a dress of the house.
Officers of Justice also showed the court a picture of 2023 that, according to them, Matthew dumped Gedhill next to the mattress by the same carpet.

Goldhill reportedly had an affair with a man who told the police that she confessed that she was shot Johnson while he was sleeping. Allegedly, Gedhill said that she contains his body in a storage and then loaded it in her minibus.
Her alleged calls with her non -created lover were shared during the hearing.
'Just before [Gledhill] reported Matthew missing, [her lover] Recorded a phone call with the suspect, 'said public prosecutors.
'In the phone call, [Gledhill] apologizes for telling [her lover] About what happened, she says he should not consider her as a monster and remind her who she was before she opened her mouth. '
For the judiciary, prosecutors then literally started quoting, including references to Johnson in the past tense before he was missing.
“I think the fact that you got afraid of me, that part like my heart broke because I thought:” Wow if you think I could even hear a fly, “she said.
“Like him just, he is, he is not a person. He was no longer a person, he was no longer Matt. '
But many more hair -raising words would follow, the hearing was told.
The beloved of Gedhill, whose name was never shared, told her that he was afraid of what she confessed.
He asked how she would feel if the roles were reversed, what she replied: “Not if I deserved it.”

Johnson's remains have yet to be found, and Goldhill did not argue with guilty of the charges
Gemthill's parents Thomas and Rosalie Gledhill have also been charged in the murder after the police revealed that witnesses saw them cleaning her house
“I am like just gathering the scum of this earth and put it on an island or just kill them, I could switch this country back in a good place,” Gem said.
It is said that he was shot dead while he slept and his body was never found.
Lawyers for Gemthill claimed that the newly released phone calls were removed from the context.
Johnson was missing on September 23.
Gedhill was arrested after her beloved told the police that she had told him about the murder of her husband.
In a police interview after her arrest of 3 October, she claimed to have separated herself from Johnson- Only to spend the evening of 20 September talking and drinking with him.
She said that when they had sex that night, and “informed (the officer) because of the intoxication of the whiskey she had trouble remembering the events that took place after they and Matthew sex,” said the search order.
Goldhill said that Johnson “got up” during their evening together, but couldn't remember why.
Her beloved told that the Johnson police were upset because he discovered that his wife had cheated him.
Goldhill's parents Thomas and Rosalie Gemdhill have also been charged in the murder.
The police revealed that witnesses cleaned them five hours after the alleged murder.
Gem's mother was even suspected of buying a new mattress for her daughter to replace Johnson after he was shot.
