An American federal court ordered the Trump and billionaire Elon Musk government to stop dismantling USAID and that the effort to close it probably violated the American constitution.
Judge Theodore Chuang of Maryland granted a provisional order on Tuesday to temporarily block the administration to close the agency.
“The court finds that the actions of defendants being taken to close USAID to an accelerated basis, including the apparent decision to permanently close the USAID headquarters without the approval of a well -named USAID officer probably violates the Constitution of the United States in several ways,” Chuang wrote.
He wrote the actions not only damage to the claimants, but also the public interest ', because they deprive the chosen representatives of the public in the congress of their conference authority to decide whether and how an agency was created that was established by the congress. “
Chuang not only blocked the further dismantling of the agency, but also ordered that some computer systems were restored and the desk is capable of having his head office in Washington, DC.

The order is the last in a series of successes that the Trump administration and the DOGE team of Musk have been dealt with in court, because they want to lower the expenses and reduce the federal government.
A group of current and former USAID employees and contractors has filed a lawsuit against Musk and Doge after they have moved to close the agency.
In the weeks after Trump was affected, Doge moved aggressively to close the United States Agency for International Development.
By 3 February, employees were excluded from the headquarters of the agency in Washington, DC and signposting for the congress that was established, was removed from construction.
The USAID website was also closed and the E -mail accounts of around 2,000 employees were deactivated.
By the end of the first week of February, more than 2,000 employees of the agency were placed with administrative leave.
When February ended, there was an emotional scene outside the head office of USAID, because dismissed employees only got a few minutes to return and free up their agencies of personal belongings.

American district judge Theodore Chuang blocked the Trump government temporarily to close USAID
While employees were confused, Musk has publicly attacked the agency online as 'evil' in the last two months and demanded that it was closed. Trump also indicated that USAID was dismantled.
But Chuang noted on Tuesday in his order that the congress made it clear in law that USAID was an independent agency that could not be abolished or considerably reorganized without approval of the congress.
