A Canadian woman who arrived in Australia three months ago has revealed the two main reasons why she stopped it and decided to move back home.
Brook Kidd, 20, moved to the Sunshine Coast, in Queensland, with big plans to work and explore what Australia has to offer.
She revealed in a Tiktok video that she changed ideas after she realized how expensive things were and the extreme amount that foreigners have to pay for healthcare.
“To be honest, something that I had never thought I would say, but I'll come back home,” said Mrs. Kidd.
“I have thought about this for a few weeks now and I have just booked my one -way road.”
Mrs. Kidd said that everything was much more expensive than she expected.
“Although the wage is better, you need a consistent task to keep you going,” she said.
Mrs. Kidd in particular told Daily Mail Australia, one type of item.

“The costs of fruit and vegetables were astonishing,” she said.
She then said that the costs of Australian health care for foreigners are an important consideration, including travelers may not have thought.
“Healthcare, it's not as bad as most places, but for foreigners it's pricey,” she said in the Tiktok video.
'If you are someone who needs consistent visits, just be prepared to spend a considerable amount of money.
“If you are someone who is struggling or go to the hospital, first take that in the first time.”
Mrs. Kidd revealed that the costs of health care were very different in Canada.
“It is extremely accessible and affordable,” she said.
People in Australia who are not permanent residents are responsible for their own healthcare costs.

Mrs. Kidd said she should have known before she would come to Australia, but only realized the seriousness of the problems.
“I had heard people say it was pricey, but I was certainly not prepared for it,” she said.
“As beautiful as Australia is, I think working holidays are certainly too romantic online.”
