A British Airways crew member is reportedly held in Singapore after raping a stewardess colleague.
The nameless man was locked up last night after he was accused of attacking the woman after a night out between flights.
It has been reported that two female BA employees have since flown home after the recent incident.
Airlines have also flown to Singapore to contact authorities there, and the arrested crew member, who is currently behind bars.
The rape claim – reported after the crew had gone between flights on the evening – has shocked BA employees.
According to the sun, a source said yesterday: 'Everyone is numb. The rape accused steward has flew with BA for years.
“The case falls under the jurisdiction of the authorities of Singapore and proves a large headache for aviation leaders.”
Perpetrators have found guilty of raping a victim older than 14 years in Singapore, are confronted with a prison sentence of up to 20 years – and will also be liable for a fine or stick.

It comes after a former pilot of British Airways who was fired for sniffing cocaine from a topless woman between flights was allowed in the cockpit.
Married father of one Mike Beaton had solved his drunk antics in 2023 with a stewardess colleague in British Airways.
Before a return flight from Johannesburg to London, described in texts sent to his colleague, the pilot, parties with two local men, a female holiday maker and a young Spanish woman in the South African city.
The group of five had reportedly met in a nightclub before he went back to one of the flats of the men where cocaine was produced.
A shocked colleague raised an alarm to 'Furious' managers about Beaton's Night or Loosdiger-hours before he was a flight from South Africa back to Great Britain.
The flight was immediately canceled by BA and Beaton was flown back as a passenger as a passenger to Heathrow Airport the next day, where he tested positively for drug use.
Beaton was fired shortly later.
But now the married father has reportedly returned to the cockpit after he has convinced the Civil Aviation Authority [CAA] that he is a reformed man.
So far, Beaton has completed four flights for the European charge of the Air Freight Carrier in Bournemouth.
