More passengers who fly into Australia will now be able to fill in their travel statement forms digitally as a test is expanded.
The Australian Border Force and Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (Daff) have tested the Digital Australia Travel forms on flights between New -Zeeland and Brisbane since October.
The use of the digital forms, introduced to replace traditional paper incoming passenger cards, will be expanded from Wednesday.
Previously, travelers on bookings with one passengers from New Zealand were able to complete the travel statements in the Qantas app.
The test was then expanded to travelers who arrived on flights from Los Angeles.
The digital travel statement has now been extended to a single and multi-passenger bookings on all Qantas flights that arrive at the Brisbane airport.
Passengers fill in the forms before they receive a QR code via the Qantas app or e -mail, which they then show Border Force Officers on arrival.
The form is also immediately shared with the federal government.

The streamlined travel statements can be completed up to 72 hours before departure to Australia in the Qantas app.
ABF commissioner Gavin Reynolds told the Australian that he hopes that the paper passenger card was one of the first steps in the direction of a digital Australian border.
“The positive feedback so far has shown a clear demand for a more efficient and user -friendly approach,” he said.
“While we are preparing for global events such as the 2032 Olympic Games, the ABF strives to use technology to create a seamless travel experience while maintaining high standards of security and compliance.”
DAFF representative Secretary of Bio Safety Justine Saunders said that the process had led to more efficiency.
“The findings of the test have so far demonstrated a more seamless traveler experience, while bio-safety officers can increase their focus on detecting non-compliance and managing risky goods,” she said.
