Benjamin Netanyahu gave a 'silver -plated pieper' to Senator John Fetterman this week during his visit to Israel.
The Israeli Prime Minister presented Fetterman the bizarre gift during an uncomfortable exchange in his office in Jerusalem.
In a clear step to double his support for Israel, Fetterman presented Netanyahu with a framed article from a newspaper Philadelphia who commemorated the brother of the prime minister, an Israeli soldier who was killed in 1976 during an Israeli raid in Uganda.
In exchange, the Israeli leader Fetterman offered his own gift and asked jokes: 'What can I give a man who has everything? What about giving him a beeper? '
“This is a silver -plated beeper. The real beeper is, like a tenth of the weight, “said Netanyahu, handing the pager to the smiling senator. “It's nothing, but it changes history.”
The gift is a clear reference to the operation of the Israel in Lebanon last September in which the military pagers were exploded by members of Hezbollah. The explosive attack left 42 people dead and thousands injured.
Netanyahu presented a gold pager to President Donald Trump in February when the couple met in the White House, but some wondered why he would give this symbolic gift to a junior member of the Senate.
However, Fetterman has repeatedly pronounced his support for Israel, despite the fact that his democratic party is very critical about the offensive in Gaza.

Fetterman doubled his support for Israel on Tuesday after it ceases the thin -fires with Hamas by bombing Gaza with air strikes
Video of the exchange, posted online yesterday, shows how Fetterman laughed when Netanyahu presented him the gift.
He seemed to admire the device before he said: 'When that story broke, I thought:' Oh, I love it, I love it. 'And now it is, thanks for this. '
“Thank you,” he said again as he shook the hand of the prime minister.
Fetterman doubled his support for Israel on Tuesday after it ceases the thin -fires with Hamas by bombing Gaza with air strikes.
'Hamas does not want peace. I am Unapological, 100% at Israel and demand the release of all remaining hostages, 'he tweeted, and noted that he' sent this from Israel '.
But his message and showing support for the troops of Netanyhu has led to the recoil of liberals who have branded the 'most despicable scum in the congress'.
“I can't believe that this man once affiliated progressives with campaign for him and defend him,” said an X user about Fetterman. 'Forget Pro Israel, he is Pro Netanyahu, who has just slaughtered more than 100 children to prevent him from going to court for his trial. Sick stuff. '
“This despicable Ghoul is an American senator. What a joke! “repeated someone else.
“Omg. To be cruel and all tasteless at the same time, “wrote one user.
Another wrote: “Who doesn't like a gift from a criminal criminal killer?”
'Proud of their terrorism. Sickos of the highest degree, “said another.
One added: “Absolutely not this is real … right ???”
“Why is the senator from Pennsylvania hanging around in Israel? And who pays for it? “Another asked.

Interest has broken several times with the liberal wing of his party, including maintaining his loyal support for Israel and Support for the Riley Act Cloths focused on illegal immigrants.
The pronounced senator also made the headlines earlier this month when he criticized his party's answer to Trump Address for the congress.
Democrats were confronted with recoil for different stunts and protests during the address, including refusing and clapping for a young survivor of cancer that was honored by Trump, while a congressman was even started from the room for his antics.
“I don't think that's the best look for our match last night,” Fetterman said when he was asked by Fox News for his response to how Democrats changed during the speech.
Fetterman also went to X to share a more hostile view of the performance of his party, which are branded a 'sad cavalcade of self -owned and released petulance'.
“It only makes Trump more president and modest,” he said, shared a polico article that mocked Democrats who held protest signs as “giving bingo” during the speech.
“We become the metaphorical car – alarms that no one pays attention to – and it may not be the winning message,” Fetterman posted.
Despite the suffering of health problems during his run for the Senate in 2022, including having a stroke that affected his speech, and his apparent break of his party, Fetterman was driven by some in 2028 as a potential democtratic presidential candidate.

Comedian Bill Maher even called him to run and said, “Democrats must find their Trump.”
Fetterman was previously asked about his ambitions of the White House in December 2023, to which he told Politico that he “didn't think about 2028.”
Despite losing a landslide against Trump, Harris was surprisingly at the top of a poll after the elections under Democrats, where she led the field with 41 percent of the votes, according to a Puck News/Echelon Insights Survey.
The rest of the peloton combined – 13 Democratic politicians who all scored in the single figures – collected 43 percent, with 16 percent of the respondents and said that they were 'not sure' of the question of who they would vote if a party would now be kept.
