The representatives and officers of Oklahoma Sheriff were injured when an explosion went off on Thursday at the Sheriff's Office and the prison of Pushmataha County.
Two officers and two representatives suffered minor injuries at the explosion, Sheriff BJ Hedgecock told KXII.
He noted that both the Sheriff office and the prison sections of the building were startled by the explosion and said that it took place at the back of the building in an office.
The two injured officers were treated on the spot and the two representatives who suffered in breathing in smoke were taken to a local first aid.
Prisoners housed in prison have been moved to facilities in nearby provinces as a precaution, Ktul reports.
“All employees are safe and all prisoners were unharmed and are divided over different provinces,” wrote the Sheriff office on Facebook.
Researchers now work to determine what the explosion may have caused.
