The grieving family of a whistleblower of Boeing who was found dead in his truck after taking his own life, has filed a lawsuit against the aviation giant.
John Barnett, 62, was found dead in March 2024 in his truck outside a holiday hern in Charleston, South Carolina.
He would bear witness to Boeing in a lawsuit that he had taken against the airline, and in his suicide letter he wrote 'F ** K Boeing'.
Now his family has submitted an unlawful death suit in South Carolina, who accused Boeing of the harassment and intimidation of their former 32 -year -old employee after he had expressed concern about security measures.
Barnett worked for 32 years as a quality manager at the airline before he retired in 2017.
In 2019 he became public with his allegations against the company, claiming oppressors were intentional Suitable parts of the substandard parts for aircraft on the assembly line.
The suit states: “The weight of years of intimidation, abuse and humiliation became too much for John to wear, and he took his own life.”

The suit states that Barnett suffered from PTSD, depression and fear as a direct consequence of the treatment he received from his former employer.
It states that Barnett's managers isolated him and threatened to push you until you break. '
Barnett's destroyed family is looking for compensation, back -pay and lost future wages and benefits.
They are also looking for a non -specific amount for emotional need and legal costs.
Boeing did not specifically comment on the court case, but previously claimed that it never took revenge on him.
The airline states that the problems that Barnett addressed have been resolved and that employees are encouraged to create their concerns.

In his complaint, Barnett had said that he addressed the issue of Boeing's 'deep -rooted and persistent culture of mystery' several times to his superiors. He accused the company of not documenting and solving problems.
In retaliation for his complaints, Barnett claimed that he received low scores on performance reports, isolated and forbidden to go from South Carolina.
He says he was “treated with contempt and contempt by the higher management.”
Low scores on performance assessments can influence an employee changes in earning an increase or obtaining promotion. Prior to submitting complaints, Barnett said that he was a 'top performance' in the Boeing factory in North Charleston.
