The Icelandic minister of children resigned in shame, she was accused of having sex with a 15-year-old boy when she was 22 and became pregnant by him.
Ásthildur Lóa Thórsdóttir said that she met the troubled teenager, identified as Eirík ásmundson by RUV, while working as a counselor at a religious group he attended.
He was only 15 years old when they started their secret relationship, the outlet reported. Thórsdóttir claims that he was 16 when it became sexual.
The age of permission is 15 in Iceland, but it is illegal to have sex with someone under the age of 18 if the adult holds a position of authority over them, as Thórsdóttir is accused.

She is birth to the son of the couple at the age of 23, while her loved one was only 16.
The revelation arose after the family member of ásmundsson came into contact with the Iceland -Prime Minister Kristrún FroStadóttir last week.

Ásmundsson met Thórsdóttir while he attended a Christian religious group Tru Og Lif (Faith and Life) in Kópavogur that he used to visit as an escape from his troubled home life.

Eirikur claimed that he was ultimately only two hours of visitors a month in Thórsdóttir and her husband's house, First Post reports.
In the meantime, Thórsdóttir has asked and received payments for child benefits for the next 18 years.
Since then she has claimed that Ásmundsson was the more sexual experience and claimed that he 'stalked' her before she felt sorry for him.
