But a fresh craze with regard to our tea drink habit has really taken the cookie-with the British who accumulate to aggravate the misery of completely focused Americans.

A viral trend on social media shows that British Tiktok users drop everything to make a cuppa because of a so-called 'tea time alarm'.

Designed to playfully teasing in American spectators, the Make-Balieve Alert reminds the British audience to drink tea every day.

The joke was even picked up by the Tiktok account of the government, in a clip with a national 'tea alarm button' with nearly 800,000 views.

An unfortunate American woman named Brandy came across the popular leg-pull and asked several questions in her own Tiktok video.

A stunned investigation was: 'If the tea time alarm goes off, if you are in the bathroom or walk around on the street, what do you do?

'Are you going to a friend's house? Are you going to a cafe? Do you keep what in your backpack? '

The trend has inspired Tiktok users to make fake accounts called the TVLA or Teavla – a play on the drivers and vehicle permit agency – in which the public is warned to obey the Tea Time Alarm to prevent them from being fined.

Others have shared extreme ways in which the alarm has forced them to drink tea, including a duo that hurried to make a cuppa before they zip in the Eden project in Cornwall.

In a video placed by the nearby Hangloose adventure on his Tiktok account, Karis Lower, 25, poured tea from a thermal flask in two mugs before she pushes her colleague, Martin Kelly, 24, off the zipline while the drink was held after the national alarm expired during a test flight.

Mr Kelly, Operations Manager at the Adventure Camp, suggested that the National Tea Time Alert was ingrained in the Psyche of the Land.

He said, “It is normal for every British person to have at least three cups a day, so I think the siren will go off without us noticing half the time.”
