A driver who collided in a hit and a running collision with a 'beautiful' mother of three and died on the road was imprisoned.
Matthew Harris, 36, drank 11 pints of what is supposed to be lager, before he stepped in his Nissan Juke in July 2022 and Keita Mullen, 30, and another pedestrian in Bawtry, South Yorkshire.
Keita, a mother-of-three, was thrown over the road and let suffering from serious injury to which she eventually died.
A friend who was with her at the time of her death has been left with mental trauma after witnessing the incident.
Harris, the driver, fled the stage and avoided the police, but officers found the wing mirror of his car on the spot and after some questions the brand and the model of the vehicle could identify.
They then discovered the heavily damaged engine in the Harris site in Conisbrough, South Yorkshire.
Forensic research also led to Keita's DNA found on the windshield of the Nissan Juke.
Officers also discovered that Harris had consumed 11 pints of what is supposed to be lager, before they got back in the car and drove along the A1 to Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

Harris was arrested and interviewed four days later, where he answered 'no comment' to each question, but he then pleaded guilty of causing death by dangerous driving.
Today (Friday) he was sentenced to 16 years in prison at Sheffield Crown Court, but it was reduced to 10 years and eight months after he had issued his plea.
Harris also received a 12-year disqualification of driving on his release.
Serious collisions Sergeant John Taylor, by the police of South Yorkshire, said: 'No duration of the punishment handed to Harris can return Keita.
'We know that Harris was driving without a driver's license and insurance at the time of the collision and driving at speed with 11 pints of alcohol.
'Harris' actions that led him to kill Keita were selfish and, after the collision, can only be described as those of a coward.
'I am happy that he will now spend a considerable amount of time behind bars, and I hope that a strong message will be sent to our communities; We all have a responsibility for each other. You will be held responsible for your promotions while you are behind the wheel of a vehicle.
“We have a zero tolerance for those who pose a risk and will place you for the courts.”

After Keita's death, her husband Tom Mullen wrote a heartbreaking tribute to her and said: “Nothing will ever be the same without you.”
He posted on Facebook: 'Literally my best friend for more than half of my life, nothing will ever be the same without you!
'Beautiful inside and out, so enormously talented and the best mummy in the world!
'I promise you that I will take care of our babies, perform them exactly how you wanted and make sure they never forget how special you are.
“We all love and miss you so many scores.”
Meryl Chambers, 51, has also been charged with this case and will appear on 2 March 2026 for Sheffield Crown Court.
