At least four employees of the Fulton County Courthouse were treated for an unknown disease after intercepting a suspicious package with a white substance in it.
A package with the mysterious substance arrived at the office of the public prosecutor of Fulton County was opened on Friday, officials said.
At least four employees are affected by the material, but are conscious and alert, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.
The substance has since been considered safe, according to WSBTV.
It is unclear what symptoms the employees experience or what the material was. The four were taken to the hospital as a precaution, according to the Atlanta Constitution Journal.
The third floor of the courthouse was temporarily placed at Lockdown after the letter and the substance were found, with a Hazmat team arriving on the spot.
However, that Lockdown was lifted around 3.30 pm in the courthouse where attorney -general Fani Willis works.
Officials said the letter was opened around 2 p.m. and that Atlanta Fire was immediately warned.

Atlanta Fire Department Rescue did not respond immediately to the request from DailyMail.com to comment.

Willis may not stay in the case because of her sensational affair with colleague officer of Justice Nathan Wade, who resigned his post, which she tried to hide.

The ruling destroys Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee's decision that Willis and her team allowed to stay in the Trump case, despite the affair, as long as Wade left his job as the main prosecutor of Willis.
